Permutation and combination are closely related to human life.The idea of permutation and combination is embodied in clothing,food,housing and transportation,ranging from the collocation of clothes to the production calculation scheme.It is necessary to include it in students' courses.As for its knowledge itself,it is not only a good carrier to cultivate students' core mathematical literacy,but also a good material for teaching students' thinking strategies.As far as its function is concerned,it strengthens students' connection with the reality and prepares them for entering the relevant branches of higher education.In the several versions of the existing curriculum standards in China,the requirements of permutation and combination have been constantly improved,and the connection between permutation and combination and life has been constantly emphasized.It can be seen that the importance of permutation and combination is gradually increasing.How is the learning status of students in permutation and combination at this stage? What are the problems? For this reason,this paper studies.In this study,literature research,questionnaire survey and interview were firstly used.Through a large number of literature,this paper analyzes the research status and development prospect of permutation and combination by domestic and foreign scholars.Then a questionnaire was set up to investigate the motivation level of students to learn permutation and combination.Prepare test papers to test students' learning status in permutation and combination.The conclusions of learning motivation are as follows:(1)low self-efficacy;(2)bad attribution style.The conclusions of learning cognition are as follows:(1)learning lacks the process of active construction;(2)weak consciousness of using mathematical thinking methods;(3)incomplete knowledge structure system;(4)low level of mathematics core literacy.According to the problems mentioned above,Suggestions are put forward from three aspects: textbook compilation,teachers themselves and teachers' teaching.(2)the textbook should highlight the connection between arrangement and combination and other knowledge points.Teachers themselves:(1)constantly enrich their own professional knowledge;(2)strengthen the study of theoretical knowledge of education.Teachers' teaching:(1)stimulate students' internal learning motivation of learning permutation and combination;(2)paying attention to the concept teaching of arrangement and combination,emphasizing the connection and difference between arrangement and combination;(3)attach importance to the teaching of mathematical thinking and methods involved in permutation and combination,and form a network diagram of knowledge structure;(4)set up the teaching goal of cultivating students' mathematics core quality;(5)pay close attention to students' performance and strengthen communication with students.
