Social responsibility plays an important role in maintaining social justice.People with high social responsibility are more willing to punish those who violate social rules.People with low social responsibility usually only consider their own interests and seldom consider the interests of others,so they are less likely to take the initiative to punish those who violate social rules.Psychological distance refers to the distance between individual and others under psychological. The closer the psychological distance is,the easier it is to be taken care of,while the farther the psychological distance is,the less likely it is to be taken care of.The situation of gain and loss affects the cognition and emotion of the individual and makes the individual do different behaviors.Specifically, the perception of loss is stronger than the perception of gain,so in the context of loss, the third-party punishment will be stronger. In this study, the influence of social responsibility and psychological distance on the punishment of the third party under the situation of gain and loss is deeply discussed. This study consists of four experiments, used the dictator game paradigm, the subjects were divided into high social responsibility group and low social responsibility group according to 27 % of the scores of the social responsibility scale.Discussed specifically the effects of social responsibility and psychological distance on the punishment of the third party under the situation of gain and loss.Experiment 1and experiment 2 used 2(social responsibility: high/low)X 5(unfair degree: 40:60/30/70/20:80/10:90/0:100)two factors mixed experimental design, and respectively explores the gain and loss situation, degree of social responsibility and unfair punishment to a third party. In experiments 3 and 4,the psychological distance was manipulated with the other-self compatibility scale, and the conditions of friends and strangers were set.Used 2(social responsibility: high/low)X 2(psychological distance:friend/stranger)X 3(degree of unfairness: low/medium/high)three-factor mixed experimental design.Explored respectively the effects of social responsibility, psychological distance and degree of unfairness on the punishment of the third party under the two situations of gain and loss were.According to the experimental results and analysis, the following main conclusions are drawn:(1)In the context of acquisition, the third-party punishment of individuals with high social responsibility is stronger than that of individuals with low social responsibility;(2)In the context of loss, the punishment of individuals with low socialresponsibility is stronger than that of individuals with high social responsibility;(3)The psychological distance is significant for the punishment of the third party, and the punishment of the third party with a long psychological distance is stronger than the punishment of the third party with a short psychological distance;(4)Under the loss situation and two different psychological distance conditions, the third-party punishment of individuals with high social responsibility is significantly lower than that of individuals with low social responsibility;(5)In the context of loss, regardless of the individual's sense of social responsibility, the punishment of the third party with a psychological distance is significantly lower than that with a psychological distance. This study found that different levels of social responsibility have different results on the punishment of the third party, which will have an impact on different psychological distance conditions. This provides an important scientific basis for companies, institutions and even government departments to select and use talents, reduce social contradictions and build a harmonious society.
