Research On The Development Status And Countermeasures Of Yantai Elderly University From The Perspective Of Active Aging

The arrival of an aging society is a challenge for developing China.The elderly universities are not only an important place to carry out elderly education,but also an important carrier for building a learning society and improving the lifelong education system.It is also an important measure for active aging.With the spread of the concept of lifelong education and the advocacy of Yantai City Government,more and more elderly people in Yantai City have entered senior colleges to participate in studies to meet their needs for development and interests.At the same time,although Yantai University for the Elderly has more than 30 years of school running history and achieved some results,it has not reached maturity.Based on the perspective of active aging,this study takes the elderly universities in counties and districts of Yantai as research objects,mainly adopts literature research methods and interview methods,and combines the theory of lifelong education and Maslow's hierarchy of needs to the status of elderly universities in Yantai City.Analyze and analyze the number of the elderly universities,student enrollment,faculty strength,hardware facilities,curriculum settings,finance,policies and other aspects,and propose that the development of senior universities in Yantai City is uneven and inadequate,hardware facilities are not complete,and local legal vacancies Problems such as insufficient financial investment and the need to improve the teaching staff.Based on the excellent experience of advanced elderly universities at home and abroad,and in accordance with the requirements of the "Elderly Education Development Plan(2016-2020)" issued by the State Council,from the perspective of active aging,an optimization strategy for the development of the elderly universities in Yantai City is proposed,including Improve laws and regulations,increase financial investment;expand curriculum content and promote professional development of teachers;change ideology and establish a positive outlook on ageing;strengthen lifelong education and publicity,and promote social participation of the elderly.Gathering social consensus is the foundation of active aging,and building a comprehensive aging policy system is the key to active aging.Promoting the coordinated development of the aging cause and industry is the necessary foundation for active aging.Playing the active role of the elderly is an internal part of active aging.Motivation and sound aging work system and mechanism are important guarantees for active aging.Accordingly,the development of Yantai University for the Elderly will be promoted to effectively cope with the aging.
