Objectives:Studies have shown that long-term consumption of amphetamines can damage areas such as the prefrontal cortex, orbitofrontal cortex and cerebral cortex and cause changes in brain composition, leading to a decline in behavioral and cognitive functions.Tai Ji Quan can promote people's cognitive function and improve their physical quality, and all the brain wave components are related to the cognitive level, and Tai Ji Quan has an impact on the functions of the prefrontal lobe, motor area and occipital lobe. The effects of acute and long-term Tai Ji Quan exercise on electroencephalogram(EEG)signals were studied by combining traditional Chinese Tai Ji Quan with electroencephalogram(EEG)techniques.Refining motions that can promote the recovery of body function and brain function of amphetamine substance use disorder(SUD),and verify its recovery effect.Through experimental comparison,it has been preliminarily confirmed that Tai Ji Quan has certain influence on Alpha and Theta rhythm of amphetamine substance use disorder. As a low-cost,less limited and effective method, sports detoxification is worthy of being widely used in the work of detoxification. This study can enrich the current research content of sports intervention in promoting rehabilitation of substance addicts in China. And this study can promote further study the mechanism of sports intervention in drug addicts. It can also effectively help drug addicts recover early and reduce relapse. It provides some references for the rehabilitation training of substance use disorder and the development of related fields. And it provides theoretical and practical basis for Tai Ji Quan as a safe and effective rehabilitation methods of rehabilitation training in drug rehabilitation centers in the future. This study is about the mechanism of Tai Ji Quan intervention in drug rehabilitation, which can further deepen the study on the effects of Tai Ji Quan exercise on drug rehabilitation. At the same time,it expands the application of sports in the field of drug rehabilitation in China, and provides new ideas and methods for the physical and mental rehabilitation of drug addicts.Meanwhile,Tai Ji Quan as an economical and convenient exercise in rehab can be more widely used to reduce the country's financial expenditure on drug rehabilitation. Finally, this study can provide a theoretical basis for the application and dissemination of traditional sports in China and encourage more different groups to participate in the practice of martial arts.Participants and methods:In this study,32 female with amphetamine substance dependence recruited by Shanghai female drug rehabilitation center were randomly divided into control group and experimental group.Participants in the experimental group were given Tai Ji Quan exercise intervention three times a week for one hour for six months. The control group received daily physical activity including radio gymnastics, square dancing and other activities, three times a week, one hour at a time. All subjects were tested by constitution test, electroencephalogram test and questionnaire.Physical fitness tests included height, weight, lung capacity, grip strength, body flexion, standing time on one foot with eyes closed, and blood pressure. To intervene in the resting state before and after the intervention resting state and acute Tai Ji Quan exercise with acute treadmill exercise immediately after 20 minutes three time points for electrical testing, and for three tests of Alpha and Theta independent sample T test with average power respectively, using repetitive measurement analysis of variance analysis subjects before and after the intervention of Alpha and Theta average power data changes. Results:After 6 months of exercise intervention, the Alpha rhythm power of the two groups decreased significantly at the electrode points of F4,F7,C3,C4,P3,P4,P7,P8,T7,T8,Cz and Oz,and there was no significant difference in intergroup effect and interaction effect. It shows that long-term exercise interventions can reduce the brain damage caused by amphetamine substances in addicts and promote their recovery. The Theta rhythm decreased significantly at the electrode points of F3,F7,C3,C4,P3,P4,P7,P8,T7,Cz,Pz,Oz.It suggests that long-term exercise intervention may enhance cerebral cortex blood flow and cerebral blood supply by enhancing blood circulation. There were significant differences in the Alpha rhythm power at the electrode points of F7,C4,P4,P8,T7,T8,Cz,Pz and Oz after the 20-minute acute Tai Ji Quan exercise and the acute treadmill exercise, respectively. In the F7,C4,P4,P8,T8,Cz,Pz and Oz,the acute Tai Ji Quan group was higher than the acute treadmill exercise group.Increased Alpha activity reflected lower cortical activation and reduced anxiety states. There was a significant difference in the Theta rhythm power at the electrode points of F7,P4,P8,T7,T8 and Pz,among which,at the points of F7,P4,P8,T8 and Pz,the acute Tai Ji Quan group was higher than the acute platform running group. This means that the cerebral cortex is activated along with the autonomic nerve, and cognitive functions are enhanced to improve drug withdrawal. Conclusion:Tai Ji Quan can improve the emotional state and cognitive function of female methamphetamine abusers in the compulsory isolation period and has potential value as an intervention in drug rehabilitation.
