Marathon Runners And Industry In Cold Winter:how Far Is Spring?

At the beginning of 2020,an unexpected epidemic attacked Wuhan and then swept across China.Many cities surrounded by the epidemic were pressed during the Spring Festival,and all walks of life were hit to varying degrees,and the sports industry was no exception.In particular,all kinds of road running events such as marathons were affected in the first half of 2020-they were cancelled or postponed.Under the epidemic situation,ordinary people's lives have undergone subversive changes,and the "house" became the "war epidemic" attitude of the Chinese in the Spring Festival of the Rat.For marathon runners,daily outdoor exercise during the epidemic prevention was forced to stop.So,how do they adjust their state to adapt to the changes in this period?Based on this,this report aims to let more people understand the changes and adjustment strategies of marathon runners and related industries during the epidemic.As an in-depth investigation report work,this article mainly adopts the interview method to conduct a dialogue with elite marathon runners and many mass runners through on-site interviews,telephone calls,and WeChat interviews.The interviews with several runners in the early period were mainly based on the experience of horse races in the normal period,while in the later period,they focused more on the real life conditions,exercise methods and changes in thinking during the epidemic period.The majority of marathon runners have a more realistic reference role.Furthermore,the report expands the horizon to a more macro perspective and objectively records the true situation of the sports industry development under the epidemic.Through interviews with internal personnel of large marathon companies and a number of small and medium-sized sports event operating companies,I learned that many sports companies have encountered development crises,but they also try to transform online and strive to open up new revenue channels.If the related industry companies are growing on a large scale before the epidemic,then after the epidemic,it may be more important to pay attention to a cost for each event and refine the operation.
