Research On The Impact Of Major Sports Event On Local Residential Psychic Income

Under the background of the new era,the level of China's social productivity has improved significantly on the whole,and its production capacity has stepped into the forefront of the world in many aspects.People's needs of living to be expanded and upgraded.People are looking forward to constantly improving the “goodness” of life and enhancing the sense of gain,happiness and security in life.In this context,the large-scale sports events with agglomeration,competitiveness,appreciation and entertainment have attracted the attention and favor of managers.The research on the impact of large-scale sports events at home and abroad has gradually expanded from the economic,political and environmental fields to the field of social psychology,paying more attention to the perception of local residents.One of the manifestations is that some scholars have begun to gradually study the local residents' psychic income of large-scale sports events in foreign countries.Local residents' psychic income plays a role in the bidding of future events and the prediction of the attitude and behavior of the organizers.It also provides useful information for further analysis of the leverage generated by holding large-scale sport events,and provide an analysis basis for the host area's government to play the leverage of events.Therefore,this study aims to explore the psychic income of residents in Wuhan,the venue of 7th Military World Games.After reviewing the literature,a research route,which mainly supported by social exchange theory and threshold theory,has been conducted.With residents' psychic income measurement framework as the main body and residents' attitude as the dependent variable,this study investigated Wuhan residents using the questionnaire method.A total of 465 questionnaires were issued and 402 were effectively recovered.At last,the influencing factor of psychic income,the influence of every factor in the psychic income measurement framework and the relationship of Wuhan residents' psychic income and their attitudes were investigated by using difference analysis,multiple linear regression and structural equation model analysis methods.The main conclusions are as follows: gender,profession,whether to watch the game live or not,whether to participate in the event's organization or not and the attention to the event will partially affect the residents' psychic income.However,age,living time,education level,income level and whether they are sports enthusiasts or not have no significant impact on local residents' psychic income;a five-factor framework of psychic income applicable to the event has been developed.The five factors,whose influence from strong to weak were enhanced culture self-confidence,enhanced social bonding,pride in efforts to improve community infrastructure,pride in performance of national team and community pride as a result of enhanced image,separately.According to the conclusion of this study,this paper puts forward the following suggestions to the host government and the event organizers: the government should pay more attention to the residents' psychic income and use its leverage when introducing or holding the event.2.spare no effort in combining the events and culture,and enhance the cultural self-confidence of local residents.3.promoteresidents' enthusiasm for participation,involvement and enhance social bonding.4.take the interests of local residents as the first priority when constructed infrastructure and strengthen communication and exchange with residents.
