'Chinese I'(Dongyang Books),based on the 2015 syllabus,is a new textbook,which is published in 2018 and started to use in March 2019.This paper takes the 2018 edition of Chinese I(Dongyang Books)as the research object.In terms of structure of textbook,language items,activities of textbook and cultural content,this paper makes a comparatives analysis between ‘Chinese I'(Cheonjae education)and ‘Chinese I '(Dongyang Books)to study the innovation of ‘Chinese I '(Dongyang Books).The paper also studies the relevance between activities of text in ‘Chinese I'(Dongyang Books)and the language items or cultural contents,to verify if the activities can help students to acquire and consolidate the language knowledges or to experience the Chinese cultural.The paper also studies the relevance between the cultural content and the language content,to analyze whether the cultural content is helpful for students to understand language contents.Finally,the advantages and disadvantages of the textbook are summarized and some suggestions of using ‘Chinese I'(Dongyang Books)are given.Compared with previous textbooks,‘Chinese I'(Dongyang Books)has made many new change.The biggest innovation is that the textbook increases the proportion of "class activities",which are rich and varied.Most of the activities in the textbooks combine language content with cultural content to help students master and consolidate language knowledge and cultural knowledge.Furthermore,textbook provides teachers with abundant materials,which reduces the difficulty of lesson preparation.What's more thinking of the students' Chinese learning traits,textbooks puts the new words learning in the introduction part of the unit.Last the content of the textbook is arranged more concisely,and the complicated grammatical explanation is deleted,so that students can practice sentence patterns in communicationSuggestions are given for using ‘Chinese I'(Dongyang Books).Thinking of the students' level and teaching progress,teachers should take full advantage of the activates in the textbook.Teachers should explain the grammar when is necessary.Meanwhile,teachers should ask students to take notes on the blank space to help students develop good learning habits.
