Under the background of geography curriculum reform,curriculum resources have been given new contents of informationization and new requirements of the contemporaneity and ideological level.Video resources have become more and more widely used in geography classroom teaching from this.The outdoor reality show resources possesses the features of relatively authenticity,documentary experience,and entertainment,corresponding to the subject characteristics of Geography and meeting the needs of curriculum development.Based on the guidance of modern education theory such as information processing,constructivism and communication theory,the study analyzed the application and evaluation status of video(outdoor reality show)resources in senior high school geography teaching through questionnaires and interviews among teachers and students.Problems such as lack of scientific resources,difficulty in selecting and editing,and distracting students' attention were found in the application of outdoor reality show resources in senior high school geography teaching.The study proposed that the selection of outdoor reality show resource should be based on the principles of applicability,science,practicability,cooperation and functionality.Application Strategies of outdoor reality TV video resources in senior high school geography teaching were put forward including diversification of resource application,targeting the situation creation,internalization of values education,and structuralization of teaching resource pools.In the empirical research,the video clips,screenshots and plot clues in the outdoor reality show "Dad,where are we going" were incorporated into the teaching case of "Treatment of Desertification-Taking Northwest China as an Example" from Senior High School Geography 3,Chapter 2,Section 1 of the PEP Edition.Self-evaluation,students' evaluation and teachers' evaluation were made for evaluating the teaching effects after class,hoping that the study may provide reference for the application of outdoor reality show resources in senior high school geography teaching.
