As time develop,the fact that traditional Chinese teaching just focus on students' knowledge while neglecting the importance of their ability has changed.Exercise aiming on improving students' thinking quality has been a feature of current Chinese class.Core literacy,which The New Curriculum Standards had been proposed before,has set the development and improvement of thinking as one of the main goals that Chinese teaching should achieve.That means the improvement of thinking quality of students is the most urgent matter that every one engaged in education industry should discuss.Besides,putting questions has been the main form in teaching since ancient society.Either the Socratic Method,proposed by Socrates or the old saying,no enlightening before students think enough,said Confucius,showed the significance of questioning due to its functions of enlightening,underlining,consolidating and improving.But when considering about Chinese teaching in Middle school,requirements to students are always just knowing,judging,grasping,experiencing and feeling,which lead the efforts to Chinese thinking meaningless.Therefore,combining question and the mission of improving high-level thinking quality is the first thing current Chinese teaching should focus.This paper discuss the strategy of question in reading class to improve students' thinking quality.In the first chapter,I would explain the origin of this issue with some research related introduced.The second chapter defined concepts of exact proper noun and introduces theoretical foundation of this issue,which could support the strategy proposed in the following chapter.The third chapter used real-class cases to analyze the situation and problems of current classes and the next two chapters mainly discuss how to achieve the goal of improving students' thinking quality by both stressing the content and form of questioning.These two chapters are the core of the whole paper.In the fourth chapter,I expound three principles the questioning behavior should obey: rising from text itself,considering the reality and making good use of all kinds of teaching methods.The last chapter proposed the exact questioning strategies correspond related pedagogic and educational psychology theory.It showed feasibilities of carrying out these strategies and demonstrated the science of teaching by exact cases.This paper went with these two concepts,aims to provide a solution for teachers to help their students become a life-long learner and eventually realize a wish that teachers and students grow up together.
