Research On The Group Work Of Improving The Fraud-Prevention Ability Of The Urban Elderly

The speed of aging in China is accelerating,at the same time,social problems caused by aging are increasingly serious.With the development of social economy in our country,the Progress of science and technology,the improvement of people's living standards and the growing income of the elderly,the fraud against the elder people is increasing,which caused social attention.The elderly in X community in Baoding city are taken as the research objects.The situations of the elderly being cheated are shown by literature and interview method.This article reveals the reasons why the elderly in X community are cheated,and how social work can be involved to improve the elderly's ability of anti-fraud.The main reasons for the elderly to be cheated are divided into the following three aspects:personal?family and the society.From a personal point of view,the social judgment ability of the elderly is weak due to physiological reasons.Secondly,as the elderly grow older,they gradually become marginalized in the society and have less and less access to social information,which makes them vulnerable to fraud.From the family point of view,the family support for the elderly is gradually weakened.If they lack the care from their families,they will be easily cheated by frauds' fake care.From a social point of view,the government lacks supervision over the market.The system of protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the elderly is deficient.Community X is a low-rent housing community,in which most of the residents are low-income households with lower income.If the residents here suffer from fraud,their loss of both property and spirit will be greater than others.In this context,the author decided to Hold anti-fraud activities for the elderly in X community.Based on the cognitive behavior theory,the author carried out a group activity to improve the elderly's ability of anti-fraud.There are 8 members in the group,and 6 sections of the activity were held.The main contents of the activity are to explain various means of fraud to the elderly,analyze the causes of fraud to the elderly,teach them measures to prevent,popularize relevant legal knowledge,showvideos,perform sitcoms,etc.There are also some interesting games that fit the theme.Through group activities,change their misconceptions,watch more news and communicate with their children regularly,improve their vigilance,and improve their ability to distinguish fraud information,establish a sense of prevention so as to avoid being cheated.At last,the author evaluate the effect of group activities.The evaluation is divided into process evaluation and result evaluation.The process evaluation is carried out with the "group activity satisfaction evaluation form",and the result evaluation is carried out through the pre-test and post-test questionnaire analysis and the feedback of team members.The results show that the team members are very satisfied with these activities.They didn't only improve their ability of anti-fraud,but also made a lot of new friends and enriched their entertainment.Good results are got in this group activities and group goals are achieved successfully.It also provides effective method and good experience for the elderly anti-fraud work.
