Tourism in Yunnan as an important industry has its strong influence on rural culture, with the development of tourism, various cultural resources in rural areas had been well exploited. In recent years, with the support from the government, cultural industry has been facing an opportunity of development. Nowadays rural cultural industry in minority nationality regions in China has been experiencing a period of rapid development with a large number of villages of nationality rural cultural characteristics presented. Such as Dali Xizhou Country, Heqing Xinhua Village, Jianchuan Shaxi ancient town, Tengchong Heshun Town and Shilin Azhuodi Village. It is proved that those villages achieved great economic and social achievement by developing their unique culture.Yunnan has the most nationalities in China, it also has various cultural resources, these features provide support to the development of the cultural industry in Yunnan. Nationality cultural resources in Yunnan are rich and differ from other provinces, the root of the resources lay in rural areas. Many minority nationalities live together in rural areas, the development of cultural industry could increase income of people there and meanwhile could increase the development of nationality culture. In the proceed of the development, protection and inheritance of culture could be combined as well, to achieve the development of both economic and society. Cultural industry in Yunnan could increase the construction of Yunnan as a province with rich nationality culture, in recent years, within the proceed of developing tourism, various of development had been presented: daily goods turn to nationality goods, nationality arts turn to cultural industry, the combination of natural views and cultural resources and so on. The development of cultural industry in Yunnan had increased income of local people and strengthened the construction in rural areas.However, with many factors, cultural industry in Yunnan is still weak in the root, it must be admitted that while it's developing rapidly, there are also many problems. This essay tries to claim the developing proceed of cultural industry in rural areas of Yunnan by studying cases, in the aim of pointing out problems exist and looking for possible solution.
