Research On The Policy And The Management Of Studying Problem Of Overseas Students In Jinan University

Jinan University is a university for overseas Chinese with one-hundred-year history.It recruits a large number of overseas students every year.How to cultivate and manage this group,will be a subject that needs constant research and exploration.With so many years of teaching practice,Jinan University pioneered the implementation of credit system and course selection system in China,and has built the teaching system of “individualized teaching,classified cultivating”.With the characteristic mode of teaching management,generations of outstanding graduates have been developed here,where there are two kinds of students.However,with the expansion of recruitment,the overseas students at school show a series of unsatisfactory problems in study,and the series of problems reflect that there is certain inadaptability in the educational management of overseas students.This research focuses on the subject of undergraduate overseas students and studies on the policy and the management of studying problem of overseas students in Jinan University,with the method of the comparative analysis,questionnaire investigation and individual interview.Firstly,introduce the particularity of Jinan University and the policy about overseas students,then list a series of studying problems of overseas students in the current educational management.Secondly,after investigations,find out that the traits of themselves,the admission policy and the inadaptability of the educational management lead to the studying problem of overseas students.Finally,make suggestions to manage overseas students particularly according to the analysis results.
