On The Enlightenment Of Jin Shengtan's Novel Criticism Theory To Novel Teaching

Jin Shengtan is a genius who appeared among the dynasty of Ming and Qing.His literary commentary is an important part of ancient Chinese literary theory.Especially his novel commentary embodies novel theoretical viewpoints and rich aesthetic thoughts.In the research of many scholars,we can find that Jin Shengtan's novel commentary actually contains many ideas which are related to modern western literary theory.If we collate and compare them systematically,we can use Jin Shengtan's relatively easy-to-understand commentary to explain the relatively obscure western literary theory.Novels are one of the styles that can not be neglected in the teaching of Chinese reading in middle schools.From the textbooks compiled by junior middle schools,"The average high school course standard(experiment)" put forward ‘Read and explore the whole book',‘Study on the classics of Chinese traditional culture',‘Literature reading and writing'in terms of learning task group about teachingreading novels.The essence of novel teaching is how to make the students understand the novel better and explore the excellent points of the selected articles in textbooks or other classical novels in literary history more deeply.Guiding students to use Water Margin along with his comments as a tool book for mastering novel analysis skills is a new teaching idea for middle school teachers.This paper will discuss the Enlightenment of Jin Shengtan's novel theory in novel teaching from the following four parts:The first part is the introduction,which briefly expounds the purpose and significance of the research and the research summary of Jin Shengtan's novel theory,and illustrates the innovative points of the research.The second part is to sort out and summarize the theory of characterization and narrative art embodied in Jin Shengtan's commentary,and to make a comparative discussion in some points of view which are in common with western literary theory.The third part is to sort out and summarize Jin Shengtan's novel theory in combination with the previous part.The enlightenment of novel teaching is obtained,which provides ideas for teachers to guide students to find the breakthrough point of novel text analysis.
