In the background of elementary education reform and the research study development,the transformation of the curriculum standards of high school subjects from the three-dimensional goal to the core quality indicates the update and change of education in the cultivation mode.As a comprehensive teaching method,project-based learning attaches importance to the principal status of students,and emphasizes the connection between history and reality as well as the transmission of core knowledge,it also can be a new attempt to the teaching method of history in middle schools.This paper illustrates the similarities and differences among the project-based learning,inquiry learning and inquiry-based learning by using literature research,comparative research and case analysis methods.The typical characteristics which include the authenticity and public product requires the selection of project should pay attention to drawing the historical elements in the realistic society.According to the project implementation requirements and the principles of the application in the high school history teaching,the local historical buildings in fuzhou cangshan district and the historical figures in fuzhou can be selected as the research object of project activities,.Based on this,the paper designs two cases to research and analyse respectively in order to deepen our understanding of history project-based learning,and promote the practice in the future,and also help students to explore independently to complete the project in the form of gain understanding of history knowledge.The design of the two project activities aims to explore new historical teaching methods and find out the advantages and disadvantages of this teaching method in history teaching in middle schools.
