Facing with the fierce competition of the new international industrial revolution and the difficulties of China's manufacturing industry own underdevelopment,China has issued the strategy of ‘Made in China 2025',which sets out the goal of striving for a worldwide manufacturing power and points out the way for the development of engineering education in the new age.At the same time,it also makes new claims for the talent training specifications for the new era.The achievement of the transformation and development of engineering education and the accomplishment of the new demand for talent training ultimately need to settle down to the micro level of the curriculum system of higher education.How to explore the reform path of engineering course in the background of ‘Made in China 2025'has become an important and foundational issue for the realization of the manufacturing power.At first,this study introduces the background and significance of the problem,carrys on the literature and defines the concept of the research status,determines the research methods and forms research ideas.Secondly,based on the background of the age of ‘Made in China 2025',this paper analyzes the appeal of the plan to the training of engineering talents in the new era of China,and expounds the internal relationship between talent training and the system of engineering courses in the universities.In addition,this paper discusses the present situation,problems and reasons of engineering courses in key universities in China,through empirical investigation,normative analysis,expert interviews,case analysis and some other specific research methods.It is concluded that it is not suitable for each other between Curriculum goals and talent objectives of engineering professional curriculum in the key universities of China,curriculum structure and engineering requirement,curriculum content and engineering practice,curriculum teaching and student learning,curriculum evaluation and diagnostic stimulate.There is more room for improvement.The specific manifestation is that the curriculum goals are separated from the social needs,the curriculum structure decomposes the engineering ability,the curriculum content is old,and the evaluation method is single and so on.These problems are closely related to the backward concept of education,the solidification of the discipline paradigm,the limitations of teacher engineering experience,and the imperfect cooperation mechanism of the school and enterprise.Based on this,the reform of engineering courses in the key universities under the ‘Made in China 2025' needs to constantly update the curriculum concept,establish a ‘big engineering concept',a ‘big talent concept',and a new teaching concept of student-centered,rebuild curriculum goals according to modern engineering capabilities and qualities,optimize the curriculum structure,replace the traditional curriculum structure with modular engineering structure,adopt a spiral course content combination,introduce information technology,engineering projects,innovative entrepreneurship education,motivational and situational teaching into curriculum teaching,and adopt new teaching methods to improve the effectiveness of curriculum teaching.The last,this paper puts forward reform approaches from five aspects of curriculum concept,curriculum goal,curriculum content,curriculum structure and teaching method to ensure the successful reform of engineering courses in key universities.
