‘Made in China 2025'as a national programmatic document to guide the development of manufacturing industry,put forward a trend to promote China to develop into a great power in manufacturing from a pure big manufacturing country.Talents are the foundation of transformation and development of Chinese manufacturing industry,essential power of social economy development.A large number of high-quality advanced engineers is the times required to build foundation and provide talent support for the transformation and upgrade of Chinese manufacturing industry.With the high-tech engineers who can lead the development of China's manufacturing industry,we must start from improving the quality of engineering education in our country.To develop education,reform is the radical measures.Engineering education wants to make a fundamental change,it is necessary to promote the reform of engineering talent training mode.Under the background of ‘Made in China 2025',this paper uses literature reviews,case study,and comparative study to analyze the characteristics of ‘Made in China 2025',explore new requirements and challenges for engineering talent training mode.On this foundation,combing with current situation and problems of engineering talent training mode to make origin analysis,discusses specific features of the engineering talents needed in China,and provides important talent support for China's industrial development.Through analysis of ‘Made in China 2025',the paper holds that the characteristics of "Made in China 2025" can be divided into basic characteristics,manufacturing characteristics and explicit features.The differences of characteristics mean that different types of engineering and technical personnel are needed,and all types' talents requires different technical personnel knowledge,ability,moral and other things.These requirements put forward new challenges to the training mode of engineering talents in China.Although the current engineering talent training mode in China is diverse and unique,however,with the development of society and international situation,the former engineering talent training model is inappropriate to the new requirements of the emerging industry engineering talent,specifically in the performance of training objectives,professional settings,curriculum system,teaching methods and teaching evaluation and so on.This paper makes a comparative analysis of the new measures of talent training mode of high-level universities in the United States,Germany and Japan,which are more prominent in the training of engineering talents,and summarizes the gap between China's engineering talent training concept,training methods and training process.On the basis of absorbing foreign experience this paper puts forward a series of improving measures for China's engineering talent training mode,in order to make up some shortages of China's engineering talent training mode.
