Primary school science education is an important and indispensable part of basic education in China. In recent years, with the continuous development of science education and social requirements for young people,China has paid more and more attention to primary science education. With the new round of curriculum reforms and the newly issued primary school science curriculum standards in China, primary school science courses have been re-divided into three main lines and four major areas, which has increased the integration and practice of the positioning of primary school science courses.Such changes put forward requirements and challenges to the teaching mode of primary school science teachers and students' learning methods. At the same time, with the demand and requirements for talents in the new society, the trend of STEM education is blowing abroad.STEM is composed of four disciplines: science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It guides students to use interdisciplinary education through problem solving and project learning.Thinking to solve problems. As a new educational concept,STEM education breaks the boundaries between disciplines, realizes the integration of knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, and cultivates multi-talented talents suitable for the 21 st century. This article will integrate the STEM education concept on the basis of the design and implementation of primary school science lessons, design and select different STEM teaching models based on the different divisions of science teaching content, and explore whether STEM-based classroom teaching design of primary science courses can affect students' Scientific study attitude, improve students 'inquiry ability, and cultivate students' scientific literacy? The paper mainly consists of the following six parts. The first part focuses on the description of the relevant background of this research, including the development of STEM education, the requirements of China's primary school curriculum standards, the problems existing in the classroom teaching of primary science science, and the trend of STEM implementation;theoretical and practical significance, research content and methods. The second part defines relevant concepts and elaborates the relevant theoretical foundations supporting the thesis, including constructivist theory, situational cognitive theory, interdisciplinary education, and theory of learning by doing. The third part summarizes and summarizes the research status of STEM education at home and abroad from the aspects of educational policy, conceptual theory and educational practice, and expounds China's primary school science education from four aspects: curriculum setting, curriculum environment, classroom teaching and teachers.Status quo.The fourth part, based on the theoretical foundation and literature review, combines the analysis and interpretation of the primary school curriculum standards in China to design a classroom teaching model for elementary science courses based on STEM,and designs and implements cases based on specific teaching content. The fifth part analyzes the experimental results.Based on the cases in the fourth part,it collects relevant data and explores whether STEM-based elementary school science classroom teaching can affect students' scientific learning attitude and inquiry ability. The sixth part, conclusion, summarizes this article, puts forward some thoughts and suggestions on the combination of primary school science teaching and STEM education, reflects on the shortcomings of this article, and makes prospects for STEM landing in the primary school science classroom and future research.
