In order to adapt to the rapid development of science and technology,the country has put forward higher requirements for the training of future talents.In February 2017,the Science Curriculum Standard for Compulsory Education in Primary Schools was revised and issued many times.For the first time,the curriculum content in the field of technology and engineering was added to the curriculum standard,emphasizing the interdisciplinary nature of science teaching in primary school and the practicality and operability of students' learning activities.STEM education,as an interdisciplinary form of education to cultivate students' scientific literacy and innovative inquiry ability,pays attention to the integration of disciplines and advocates the development of students' individuality and creativity.Therefore,in order to improve the interdisciplinary integration of science teaching in primary schools and the ability of pupils to solve problems with their applied knowledge,this paper integrates STEM education concept into the design of science teaching in primary schools,so as to better implement the new edition of "Science Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education in Primary Schools" into the science classroom in primary schools,and to provide a reference for science teachers in primary schools to design science curriculum.By combing the relevant literature of STEM education and the relevant cases of STEM education in the United States and China,this paper finds that the primary science teaching design of STEM education concept should follow the principles of advanced teaching objectives,multi-disciplinary integration of teaching content,comprehensive situational teaching process,diversity of evaluation methods and technical learning environment.On the basis of this principle,combining the double-cycle teaching model of design-based learning with the theory of Engineering design,this paper constructs a process framework of primary school science teaching design which integrates STEM educational concept.This framework is mainly divided into four parts: creating real problem situations,scientific inquiry,engineering design,exhibition and evaluation.Combining with the teaching content of the unit Shape and Structure,which is published in the sixth grade of elementary school in the textbook edition,this paper designs the teaching activities based on the teaching design process designed in this paper,and chooses the sixth grade of H elementary school as the teaching object,carries out the teaching in the science classroom and the wisdom classroom of H elementary school,and obtains the effectiveness and teaching effect of the teaching design framework through questionnaire survey.The final feedback shows that using the framework of instructional design in this paper can help students acquire interrelated knowledge and accumulate handson experience of practical operation,so as to improve students' interest in STEM-related fields and their ability to solve complex problems.By interviewing teachers and students in H Primary School,we can get the evaluation criteria of students' works.We should discuss with students the suggestions of revising teaching design.
