As STEM education was raised,it caused a STEM mania.STEM education attaches great importance to the integration of disciplines,and pays more attention to engineering education and technology education,which not only focuses on cultivating students’ scientific spirit and scientific literacy,but also focuses on cultivating students’engineering thinking and engineering quality,so as to enhance students’ innovative spirit and practical ability,which is in part consistent with the education concept in China,which has attracted the attention of many scholars in China.The effective promotion of STEM education must rely on curriculum construction and teaching improvement.Through consulting the literature,the author found that relevant researches on STEM in China mainly focus on the introduction of theories and the stage of the analysis of results,while the practical research on STEM education is still in the preliminary exploration stage,and the teaching of STEM classroom is also limited to the introduction and combing of the foreign STEM course teaching mode.Therefore,through the introduction of STEM education related theoretical research,the author selected the representative STEM course teaching design types at home and abroad to analyze the teaching design types,supplemented them with corresponding teaching cases,and compared and analyzed with the traditional scientific teaching,hoping to provide a valid reference for the STEM courses and the developers of primary science courses.The thesis is divided into the following six parts:The first section explains the research back and significance of this paper,and also explains the research ideas and methods of adoption of this paper.The second part analyzes and carding the domestic and overseas research literature to further clarify the reason and basis of this paper.The third part is based on the related concepts and theories of STEM education.It was study in four aspects:STEM education,STEM course concept and STEM knowledge and that characteristic of STEM education;At the same time,explore the potential STEM ideas in education horizon.In the fourth part,two types of STEM courses are selected,the teaching design pattern is analyzed,and the corresponding teaching design cases are selected for the specific description.From the teaching time,teaching goal,teaching process and teaching evaluation and so on each dimension to carries on the analysis comparison,tries to combine the characteristics of primary school science teaching in China to build out of the fusion of STEM elementary school science teaching design case.The fifth part of the study is based on the previous research,the author assisted the science teachers of the G Primary School of Xi’ an high —tech zone to select the "cold air and hot air" unit of primary school science to carry out the teaching design of primary school science curriculum based on STEM.The last part is the conclusion,which summarizes the research and reflects the deficiencies of this study and the prospect of STEM education.
