At present,China is facing downward economic pressure and the uncertainty caused by China-US trade friction.China also faces severe challenges in promoting economic development and employment.Promoting better economic development has always been an important mean to promote employment.However,in recent years,China's economic growth rate has been declining,employment growth has been limited,and the overall unemployment rate has been on the rise.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the impact of economic growth on employment in different industries.This study analyses the influence of GDP growth on corresponding employment growth by using simple linear regression model.This study finds that between 2002 and 2018 year,overall GDP growth leads to more employment,but with limited capacity.The GDP growth of the primary industry leads to the decrease of the primary industry employment.In general,the GDP growth of the secondary industry also increases the number of employment in the secondary industry,but it has the opposite effect in recent years.The GDP growth of the tertiary industry increases the number of employment in the tertiary industry.China's economic structure and employment structure is inconsistent,and the capacity of economic growth to promote employment is limited.To promote the economic growth can create more jobs,this study puts forward the following Suggestions:Speeding up industrial upgrading,helping enterprises,realizing entrepreneurship multiplication effect,paying special attention to the vocational skill training,focusing on key groups,ensuring bottom line of the people's livelihood and improving employment service levels.
