Since Core Competencies and Values for Chinese Students' Development was proposed by the ministry of education in 2014,more and more educators have realized the importance of key competencies to human development.The cultivation of key competencies has become an inevitable trend in the development of education.The key competencies of Chinese language provide an overall goal for Chinese teaching,which is of great significance for improving people's quality from the level of Chinese.To cultivate key competencies of Chinese language is increasingly becoming the priority in Chinese teaching.In the view of key competencies,this paper selects the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry in primary schools of ethnic areas to figure out its current situation and problems,so as to explore the connection between the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry in primary school and Chinese key competencies.And in this way,the requirements of Chinese key competencies will really get a boost in the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry.The author samples 320 students and 30 Chinese teachers from two primary schools in Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture,Gansu Province,and interviews 10 Chinese teachers in these two schools to collect a large number of teaching cases for analysis.The results indicate that there are many problems in the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry in the south-Gansu Tibetan area,such as the poor learning climate created in the school,students' inappropriate learning method used for poetry learning,teachers' obsolete teaching idea,and so on.And the above problems exert a negative influence on the cultivation of students' Chinese key conpetencies.In order to solve these problems,this paper puts forward corresponding strategies from the perspective of teaching design,teaching implementation,and teaching evaluation in line with key competencies of Chinese language.In the design of the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry,the teacher should take the promotion of students' conpetences of Chinese language,thinking,aesthetic,and culture as the key link,and develop ancient Chinese poetry cources beneficial to the cultivation of students' key competencies of Chinese language based on their Tibetan characteristics.In the implementation of the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry,the teacher should put forward effective questions for students to answer and comment on their answers through poetic language,cultivate students' good habit of previewing,inquiry learning and personalized reading,instruct students to chant ancient Chinese poetry and apply multimedia teaching,as well as improve the teaching method and develop traditional teaching resources,respectively to promote students' conpetences of Chinese language,thinking,aesthetic,and culture.In the evaluation of the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry,it is necessary for the teacher to adopt the multi-dimensional,open,diversified and multifarious evaluation approach.The author hopes that in the future,the teaching of ancient Chinese poetry in this region can truly integrate the concept of key competencies of Chinese language into the whole teaching activities,so as to truly cultivate the talents of the 21 st century who can develop in a comprehensive way.
