With the development of science and technology,traditional school education can not meet the demand of the dissemination and popularization of scientific knowledge.As a result,informal education outside the school has been the focus of the field of education both at home and abroad.As a typical place of informal scientific education,Science and Technology Museum boasts abundant scientific teaching resources,which lays a good foundation for the design and practice of the educational activities of the Science and Technology Museum.In order to promote the integration of educational activities in the Science and Technology Museum and scientific education system,as well as strengthen the combination of venue education and school education,this paper carries out theoretical and practical research on the educational activities of Science and Technology Museum based on the core concepts of disciplines.The paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter one elaborates the research background from two aspects: the development of Science and Technology Museum education and the growing emphasis on core concepts in science education.Besides,it makes a literature review on the core concepts of disciplines and the educational activities of Science and Technology Museum.On this basis,the research significance,research ideas and methodology are demonstrated in this paper.In the second chapter,on one hand,the basic Information(frequency,duration,accompanying persons),the basic situation(type,frequency and degree of participation),the learning motivation and tendency as well as the obstacles in the learning process of the teenagers participating in the education of science and technology museum are investigated by means of questionnaire.On the other hand,this paper adopts bibliometrical method to analyze the power distribution,hot spots and trends of the research on educational activities of Science and Technology Museum in recent ten years in China.The third chapter summarizes the implementation of educational activities in Science and Technology Museum in China,sorts out the diverse types of activities and focuses on the analysis of cognitive development activities.Two cases with distinctive subject concepts are selected to make a key analysis(the “material investigator series of science education” activities of Shanghai Science and Technology Museum and the "Let the movement be omnipotent" activities of Heilongjiang Science and Technology Museum).In addition,the teaching strategies that combine core subject concepts with educational activities of Science and Technology Museum are summarized.On this basis,it also contains the activity design strategy of Science and Technology Museum based on the core concept of the subject,laying a theoretical foundation for the design and implementation of the following specific activities.Chapter 4 constructs the designing framework of educational activities of Science and Technology Museum based on the core concept of discipline by employing the "5E" teaching mode,and analyses the elements in the framework.On this basis,the concept of "force" in the basic subject of material science is selected to design the "preliminary study of force" theme activities from four aspects: the analysis of learning situation,the design of teaching resources,the design of activity process and the design of evaluation mechanism.In the fifth chapter,the design-based research method is used to carry out practical research on the activities designed in the previous chapter.In the course of two rounds of practice,it is found that the strategies of activity design obtained from theoretical research are as follows:(1)to determine the activity theme selectively according to the concept of discipline in the scientific system;(2)to grasp the core concept in the discipline system and to decompose the concept connotation logically;(3)to reorganize and decompose the context of concepts,and to design the whole in a process;(4)to promoting the learning process and to create teaching circumstances relevantly;(5)to take the learners' acceptance ability into consideration and adjust the focus of activities consciously,which is of practical significance.In addition,given the systematicness of scientific concepts,the diversity of learners in Science and Technology Museum and the complexity of teaching environment,appropriate teaching implementation strategies are in demand to ensure the learning effect in the implementation of activities.The last chapter reviews and summarizes the research,and provides the reference for the future related research.
