Tennis,known as the "noble sport",is one of the most successful competitions in the world.Under the background of more and more internationalization and modernization of world sports events,professional tennis events are not only a game,but also more embody the value of politics,economy and culture.It has increasingly become an important part of the sports industry and a cultural activity of great importance to a country or city.Successful professional tennis events can not only improve the level of development of tennis,but also promote the popularity of tennis in the world and the development of sports industry in a country and city.Tennis originated from the French court in the 12 th and 13 th centuries,then gradually developed in Britain.At the end of the 18 th century,the All England Grassland Club was established in Britain to host tennis and croquet and began to hold competitions.Then,the United States began to hold professional tennis competitions,and quickly became popular all over the world.Tennis was introduced into China in the mid-19 th century.At that time,it was introduced by missionary priests and diplomats,mainly in Church Universities such as St.John's University.However,at the economic level of our country at that time,tennis was only available to the aristocratic class.On the whole,the development of tennis in China is relatively slow.China's professional tennis tournament started late in 2004,with low level and low bonus.However,after more than ten years of development,China's professional tennis tournament has a relatively strong aftereffect.Although there is still a big gap with the "Four Grand Slams",in the last ten years,the importance of the national and local governments at all levels has been emphasized.As a result,many top professional tennis competitions in the world,such as China Open,Shanghai Masters,Shenzhen Open,Wuhan Open,Zhuhai Tennis Elite and Guangzhou Open,have emerged.These high-standard professional tennis events have promoted the development of Chinese tennis,as well as regional economy,sports industry,tennis culture and mass sports.The economic,cultural and social values of professionaltennis tournaments have become increasingly prominent.It is not only a competition,but also an important carrier of urban development.However,while professional tennis tournaments in China play an important role,there are also some weaknesses and problems,such as low prizes and fewer big players.Poor profitability,low global influence,uncivilized spectators and so on.Based on SWOT analysis,documentation,comparative analysis and expert interviews,this paper combs professional tennis events in China according to the standard of "Four Grand Slams".It uses SWOT analysis to analyze and summarize professional tennis events in China,and sums up professional tennis networks in China.The advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and threats of tennis matches objectively point out the problems faced by the development of professional tennis matches in China,and put forward specific countermeasures and suggestions,in order to provide theoretical reference and decision-making basis for the development and growth of professional tennis matches in China.
