A Study On The Relationship Between Self-confidence,Learning Motivation And Academic Achievement Of Miao Junior High School Students

In border minority areas,there are high dropout rate,low academic achievement,weak motivation and lack of self-confidence.The research proves that the improvement of students' self-confidence can promote the improvement of students' academic performance and learning motivation,and can also promote the improvement of students' academic performance.There is a significant positive correlation between self-confidence and learning motivation.This study takes the Miao and Miao Autonomous County as an example to explore the relationship between self-confidence,learning motivation,academic achievement and the three aspects of junior high school students in Miao Autonomous Region.The results of investigation and analysis are as follows:(1)The total scores of self-confidence and learning motivation of Miao junior high school students show that the whole students are full of self-confidence and motivation,and the overall level is general.(2)The Miao junior high school boys are significantly higher than girls in terms of appearance self-confidence,self-responsibility and test anxiety,while girls are significantly higher than boys in terms of requirement level,language achievement and English achievement.(3)Students in Grade 7 and Grade 9 are significantly higher than those in Grade 8in terms of academic self-confidence,interpersonal self-confidence,ability self-confidence,requirement level,language achievement,mathematics achievement and English achievement;students in Grade 9 are significantly higher than those in other grades in terms of moral self-confidence,overall self-confidence,test anxiety and their responsibilities;and students in Grade 8 are significantly higher than those in other grades in terms of success motivation.(4)Students with good parents' self-confidence are significantly higher than those with average parents' self-confidence and poor parents' self-confidence in academic self-confidence,interpersonal self-confidence,appearance self-confidence,moral self-confidence,overall self-confidence and requirements;students with poor parents' self-confidence are significantly higher than those with good parents' self-confidence and parents' self-confidence in success motivation,test anxiety and their ownresponsibility dimensions.Students in general condition;(5)Non-only children are significantly higher in academic self-confidence and moral self-confidence than only children,and only children are significantly higher in success motivation and responsibility than non-only children.(6)The overall self-confidence dimension of the students with happy family is significantly higher than that of the students with separated parents and divorced parents;the responsibility dimension of the students with happy family and separated parents is significantly higher than that of the students with divorced parents.The correlation among self-confidence,learning motivation and academic achievement:(7)Chinese,mathematics and English scores are positively correlated with academic self-confidence,interpersonal self-confidence,ability self-confidence,moral self-confidence and overall self-confidence,and there is a significant positive correlation with the level of requirements in learning motivation.(8)Test anxiety in learning motivation is positively correlated with ability and self-confidence in self-confidence;requirement level in learning motivation is positively correlated with academic self-confidence and overall self-confidence in self-confidence;requirement level is positively correlated with interpersonal self-confidence,ability self-confidence and moral self-confidence;(9)Academic self-confidence,ability self-confidence,overall self-confidence and requirement level have a positive predictive effect on junior high school students' academic performance.(10)The level of academic self-confidence and learning motivation in self-confidence has the greatest impact on academic performance.
