Spatial Visualization is not only an important aspect of human intelligence development,but also an important dimension of spatial ability.As an important part of mathematical ability,Spatial Visualization has attracted more and more attention in recent years.Although the study of mathematical geometry has always emphasized the cultivation of Spatial Visualization,the overall Spatial Visualization ability of junior high school students is still weak,and empirical research on the cultivation of Spatial Visualization is still lacking.The Spatial Visualization has not been effectively cultivated,and there are always obstacles in students' geometric learning.3D printing,as a new technology applied in teaching,is expected to promote the improvement of Spatial Visualization.This study hopes to form a set of 3D printing courses,so as to better and more effectively cultivate the Spatial Visualization of junior high school students.In this study,relevant concepts such as Spatial Visualization and 3D printing were defined through literature reading.This paper expounds the classification level of Spatial Visualization,the target mode of curriculum development and the theoretical basis of constructivism.To sort out relevant studies on Spatial Visualization and 3D printing.According to the classification level of Spatial Visualization,the course needs were investigated at the same time,teaching objectives and teaching plans were determined,3D printing courses were developed and designed,and specific teaching designs were carried out.By adopting quasi-experimental research method and using a single group of experiments before and after testing,the Spatial Visualization of students in the experimental class was measured before and after the beginning of the course.After the implementation of 3D printing course,carry out the post-test of Spatial Visualization to understand the implementation effect of 3D printing course,and verify whether 3D printing course is effective for the cultivation of Spatial Visualization of junior high school studentsThe research results show that after the implementation of 3D printing course,certain effects have been achieved,students' Spatial Visualization has been significantly improved,students' learning attitude and learning feedback have been good,and the conclusion shows that 3D printing course can promote the development of Spatial Visualization of junior high school students.
