Difficulties in teaching are the “stumbling blocks” for students.Which will lead to differentiation of students' achievements,reduce interest in learning,and hinder the cultivation of biology core competencies.The formation of teaching difficulties is determined by objective factors and human subjective consciousness.For this reason,the study divide the difficulties into two dimensions: objective difficulties and subjective difficulties,and analyze the causes of the difficulties and explore strategies to break through the difficulties.In this way,the study provide reference to the first-line teachers which help them grasp the teaching difficulties accurately and adopt effective strategies to break through the difficulties.By analyzing the curriculum standard(2017edition),the compulsory one of People Educational Press,the exam questions of compulsory one in NMET in the past four years,Which detect the objective difficulties.The results show that: The difficulties determined by the requirements of the curriculum standards are:?The concept divide into more levels,The concept is more difficult to form,?The teaching lessons arranged less,The teaching method is more limited,?The requirements of core competencies are higher,The practice process is more difficult;The difficulties determined by the lack of textbook are: ? The content is disconnect,life concepts difficult to realizate,?The scientific case are obsoleted,scientific literacy difficult to cultivata,?The capacity of content are inclusive,balancing teaching is difficult;The difficulties determined by the ability requirements of the high examination questions are: ?High professional ability are require,teaching difficulty is not easy to control,?High inquiry ability are requir,inquiry teaching is not easy to implement,?High thinking ability are require,Deep teaching is difficult.Through the questionnaires,knowledge points with a difficulty recognition rate of more than 40%(≥40%)are defined as students' difficult points,and more than 50%(≥50%)are defined as teachers',Which identified the subjective difficulties.The study compares and analyzes the difficulties of key classes and ordinary classes,which divide the difficulties into life concepts,scientific thinking,scientific inquiry,and social responsibility according to the core competencies,so as to provide a reference for teachers to take more effective breakthrough strategies and implement core competencies of students at different levels.The survey results show that there are 31 difficulties identified by the key classes,including 11 difficulties in life concepts,14 difficulties in scientific thinking,6 difficulties in scientific inquiry,and 3 difficulties in social responsibility.There are 54 difficulties identified by ordinary classes,including 24 difficulties in life concepts,21 difficulties in scientific thinking,9 difficulties in scientific inquiry,and 4 difficulties in social responsibility.At the same time,the study compares and analyzes the difficulties of students and teachers,and defines the difficulties for teachers to "find leaks and fill gaps" to improve teaching quality.The results show that there are 59 difficulties that teachers think,and most of these difficulties cover the difficulties of students,but there are still differences between the students and teachers.There are 14 difficulties that teachers agree with but students don't think about it,and there are 10 difficulties that students agree with but teachers don't think about it.Analysising the questionnaire and interviews,the cause of the difficulties is mainly determined by three aspects: characteristics of the difficulty,student's reason and teacher's reason.The reasons of the difficulties are:?Abstractive contents are difficult to understand,? Complicated contents are difficult to memory,? Similar concepts are easy to confuse,?Interdisciplinary contents are difficult to connect.The reasons of students are: ?Too many subjects difficult to balance,?Improper methods lead to badly results,?Lack ability to meet exam requirements.The reasons of teachers are: ?The class time is insufficient,teaching is difficult to penetrate ? Do not understand Core competencies,? lack of instruction after school.Finally,based on the heuristic principle,intuitive principle,step-by-step principle,and educational principle,the following breakthrough strategies are proposed: For the objective difficulties,teachers need to do :?Study new curriculum standards,Understand new ideas,?Based on old textbooks,Supplemented with new textbooks,?Improve strategic,Grasp the new college entrance examination.For the subjective difficulties,the following breakthrough strategies can be adopted: Organizational model and modeling,Flexible variant test questions,Make good use of the history of scientific,Selected living materials,Keep up with scientific research cases,Focus on language intuitiveness.
