Teaching materials play a bridge role in the teaching process,which is not only the way for teachers to grasp the national curriculum standards and teaching concepts,but also the first-hand materials for students to grasp the key points and difficulties of the curriculum and carry out effective learning.Through the comparison of teaching materials at home and abroad,we can clearly find the advantages and disadvantages of each edition of teaching materials,draw on the advantages of different teaching materials,and promote the effective development of teaching process.In this paper,the deep structure comparison is made between the 2019 people's Edition physics textbook for senior high school in China and the Edexcel a level physics textbook in the UK.The comparative study is made from four aspects: curriculum standard,knowledge structure,column setting and content design.First of all,by comparing the teaching material standards of China and the United Kingdom,that is,the 2017 physical curriculum standards of our country and the a level examination of the United Kingdom,it is found that there are differences in educational concepts and physical knowledge requirements between the two countries.Secondly,compare the knowledge structure of teaching materials,find out the differences in the arrangement structure of knowledge points between the two countries,and analyze their advantages and disadvantages.Next,compare the differences between the two countries in the column setting,find out their own characteristics,through the analysis of their characteristic columns to learn from each other.Finally,taking the part of "Mechanics" as an example,this paper makes a detailed comparison from five aspects: knowledge structure,content design,experiment design,exercise design and language style,and analyzes their respective advantages,and then gives some suggestions on the compilation of relevant teaching materials taking "friction" as an example.By comparing the high school physics teaching materials of China and Britain,we hope to help improve and perfect the Chinese physics teaching materials,and provide reference for teachers to teach more effectively.
