In recent years,the mental health problems of students in rural boarding schools have become increasingly prominent,which has affected their physical and mental health.School belonging is an important support for the mental health of high school students in rural boarding schools.The high school stage is an important stage for the development of the cognition,emotion and behavior of high school students in rural boarding schools.Lack of a sense of belonging to the school will affect their physical and mental health,as well as their ability to adapt to the new environment later.The theory of ecological system holds that the formation of the sense of belonging of individual schools is produced by the external environment and internal mechanisms.Therefore,this study intends to study the current status of school belonging of high school students in rural boarding schools,focusing on the external interpersonal environment and the internally important psychological factors---self-efficacy,to study the internal mechanism of school belonging and aim at the research The problems found in this article are to take effective measures to improve the sense of belonging of high school students in rural boarding schools,and provide references for the education management of rural boarding schools and the mental health education of rural high school students.In this study,five rural boarding schools in Maoming City,Guangdong Province were selected as the research object for questionnaire survey.There were 720 valid questionnaires,and the effective sample rate was93.75%.The subjects were tested using the school belonging sense scale,teacher-student relationship scale,peer relationship scale and self-efficacy scale of the middle school students,and the data processing and analysis were performed using SPSS25.0 and PROCESS software.The research results are as follows:(1)The sense of school belonging of high school students in rural boarding schools is generally good.The sense of belonging and the latitude of high school students in rural boarding schools are significantly different in gender.The score of male boarding students is higher than that of female boarding students.Whether there is a class cadre,whether the parents are divorced,and the source of the students are not significantly different on the ground.(2)The campus interpersonal relationship of rural boarding school high school students,that is,the teacher-student relationship and the peer relationship are generally good.The teacher-student relationship and the peer relationship are significantly different in gender.Both male boarders score higher than the female boarders;Relationships are not significantly different in grades,whether they serve as class cadres,whether parents are divorced,and where the students are born.(3)The sense of self-efficacy of high school students in rural boarding schools is at the lower middle level.Self-efficacy has significant differences in gender and whether it is a class cadre,male boarders score higher than female boarders;found that there is no significant difference in self-efficacy in grades,whether parents divorced,and the source of students.(4)There is a significant positive correlation between campus interpersonal relationships,self-efficacy and school belonging among high school students in rural boarding schools.The teacher-student relationship and peer relationship were significantly positively correlated with self-efficacy,respectively,and the teacher-student relationship and peer relationship were significantly positively correlated with school belonging.The sense of self-efficacy is significantly positively correlated with the sense of belonging to the school.(5)The teacher-student relationship and self-efficacy of high school students in rural boarding schools both positively predict school belonging,and peer relationship and self-efficacy both positively predict school belonging.(6)The sense of self-efficacy of senior high school students in rural boarding schools plays a part of the intermediary role between the interpersonal relationship on campus and the sense of belonging to the school.Indirectly affect the school's sense of belonging.The results show that improving interpersonal relationships on campus can effectively improve the sense of belonging of high school students in rural boarding schools,and the sense of self-efficacy is an important intermediary for interpersonal relationships on campus to affect the internal mechanism of school belonging.
