Mental health of junior high school students is an issue attracting much concern in society, which also plays a vital role in their growth.Researchers usually use school adaptation and interpersonal relationship to evaluate it.As an important part of interpersonal relationship,parent-child relationship has great influence on other types of interpersonal relationships and school adaptation.Generally, the Parent-child Communication Scale, the Teacher-student Relationship Scale, the Peer Relationship Scale and the Questionnaire of Middle School Student's School Adaptation are used in the research to test 600 students from 3 different grades of a private junior middle school in Sichuan Province online. We investigated the parent-child communication,teacher-student relationship, peer relationship and school adaptability, aiming to find out the relativity between these three kinds of relationships and school adaptation. In order to analyze the date, the research have used a series of methods like variate analysis, relevance analysis, dimensional analysis and regression analysis.According to the result of the data analysis,we study the junior students' present ability of school adaptation, and how the interpersonal relationship and school adaptation affect each other. The final aim is to prove the mediating role of parent-role communication in junior high school students' student-teacher relationship,peer-relationship and ability of school adaptation. The results are as follows.1.Boy students and girl students vary greatly in peer-relationship in junior high school. However, among teacher-student relationship,parent-child relationship, and school adaptation, lies little difference in gender.2.Obvious difference can be observed among students from different grades in teacher-student relationship,peer-relationship and parent-child communication. The seventh graders are significantly better than the ninth graders and the eighth graders are significantly better than the ninth graders in all the three interpersonal relationships. However, there is no clear difference between the seventh and eighth graders. It shows that, the higher the grades are,the lower the marks are, which means that the interpersonal relationship drops as the students get older.3.Clear difference is found among students from different grades in school adaptation. The seventh graders' school adaptability is better than that of the ninth graders and the eighth graders are better than the ninth graders. There is no clear difference between the seventh and eighth graders. The higher graders get the lower marks, which is the the same as the change of interpersonal relationship.5.Teacher-student relationship,parent-child relationship, school adaptation and peer relationship are strongly and positively related with each other.Parent-child communication proves to be the intervening variable, and performs intermediary functions. That is to say,parent-child relationship is the mediating role in student-teacher relationship, peer relationship and school adaptation of junior high school, influencing all the factors in a significant way.According to the results,it is suggested that the government set up parent schools to improve the parents' awareness of teenagers' education of mental health as well as to improve their skills of communicating with children.Another suggestion is that, schools arrange professional courses on parent-child communication for parents and more importance must be stressed on students' interpersonal relationship and mental health. All educators need to lead the students with more care and love emotionally in a positive way.
