Innovation is the first driving force for development. In order to ensure its core competitiveness and maximize profits, enterprises need to ensure continuous innovation and development. The combination of industry-university-research collaborative innovation theory and social network theory provides a new research direction for improving corporate innovation performance. Therefore, from the perspective of social network, this paper analyzes how the network structure promotes knowledge sharing, information transfer, resource allocation, and ultimately improves the mechanism of corporate innovation performance by building a collaborative innovation network of industry, university and research institute. This article takes Beijing manufacturing companies as the research object, and uses the patent data platform of Runtong(https://www.rainpat.com)to capture the large panel data of Beijing-Industry-University-Research cooperation patents from 2005 to 2015,and build collaborative innovation of industry-university-research cooperation. The internet.Firstly, the network density, agglomeration coefficient, structural hole, average path length and intermediate centrality are selected as network structure indicators and seven hypotheses are proposed.Secondly,UCINET software is used to calculate the network structure indicators, and the network innovation process of collaborative innovation is visualized through Netdraw software. Finally,a fixed effect negative binomial regression model is established to verify the theoretical hypothesis. In summary, based on the large sample panel data, this paper draws the following four conclusions:(1)Corporate R & D investment and knowledge accumulation have a significant positive effect on corporate innovation performance.(2)The density and structural holes of the collaborative innovation network of industry, university and research institute have a significant positive effect on the enterprise's innovation performance. The agglomeration coefficient and the enterprise's innovation performance have an inverted U-shaped relationship.(3)The level of scientific research performance of academic research institutions has a significant positive adjustment effect on agglomeration coefficients and structural holes.Enterprises cooperate with academic research institutions with higher scientific research performance to improve information transmission and knowledge acquisition capabilities, which in turn is conducive to innovative output.Secondly, enterprises can take advantage of the position advantage of academic research institutions in the network,so that they have a richer structural hole, which is more conducive to improving their own innovation performance.(4)Policy variables can have a significant positive effect on corporate innovation performance, but they will weaken the impact of structural holes and intermediate centrality on corporate innovation performance, and play a negative regulatory role.Based on the social network perspective, this paper analyzes the impact of the main structural indicators of the industry-university-research collaborative innovation network on corporate innovation performance.Secondly,it innovatively introduces academic performance levels and policy exogenous variables of academic research institutions into the model to explore Moderating role of social network structure. Finally, according to the above conclusions, the corresponding policy recommendations are proposed, and the shortcomings in this article are pointed out, which provide some ideas for the future research on the collaborative innovation network of industry, university and research institute.
