With increasingly higher downward pressure of the macro economy,progression of reform of the financial system and constant impact of internet finance industry,commercial banks are facing more and more severe challenges.The original profit model that purely relies on interest spreads of deposit and loan was gradually abandoned,and the main commercial banks have turned to transformation development that relies on income from intermediate business.Establishing scientific stimulating and constraining system and optimizing the performance appraising system is the only and effective way for the banking industry to transform its operation idea and optimize the development strategy.For this project,many useful explorations have been carried out by the educational circle in China and abroad,and fruitful practice has also been implemented on this basis.Balanced scorecard,as an increasingly sound strategic management tool,places strategy at the core of bank management process.It effectively overcomes heavy reliance on finance indexes of the original performance appraising system.In this paper,Branch Z,QS Bank is taken as an example to discuss optimization of the performance appraisal system using the balanced scoreboard technology.This paper is divided into 6 parts.At first,introduction is given to the basic condition of research and related theoretical foundations.Then,the problems with the performance appraising system currently being used by Branch Z,QS Bank are analyze thoroughly and KPI theory is used in combination with the actual operation condition of Branch Z,QS Bank to abstract the basic management KPI indexes and operation development KPI indexes.The above indexes are divided into four categories including finance,customer,and business process and learning and growing according to the balanced scoreboard theory to establish a new performance appraising system,with the implementation and guarantee measures of new performance appraising system proposedin the last part.The paper includes 2 innovation points: The fist is that the strategic target of the headquarters of QS Bank is used as the guide of the performance appraising system of Branch Z,QS Bank,to highlight the role transformation development plays in the overall performance appraisal.It can play a certain instructive role in resource distribution and optimization of work process.This way,the performance appraisal system of Branch Z,QS Bank can better match the implementation of the overall strategic target of QS Bank.The second is that a comprehensive and fair performance appraising system applicable to the entire bank is designed according to the balanced scoreboard theory and KPI theory,with differences between the offices and departments of each bank and the banking outlets taken into account.This way,the overall uniformity and individual difference are both considered.
