Research On The Space Correlation In Wuhan Metropolitan Area

Due to the cities' regional differences of geographical environment,natural resources and population structure in Wuhan Metropolitan Area,It's economy faces a difficult and unbalanced development situation.As the biggest city in Wuhan Area,Wuhan city is taking the situation of dominance of one tree for a long time.It now becomes an important issue to achieve a coordinated development among Wuhan Metropolitan Area's eight cities.How to play the role of radiation effect between the cities has been the focus of attention for the researchers.Obviously,It needs firstly to study their interactive mechanism.This paper studies the mutual influence mechanism among the cities in Wuhan Metropolitan Area from the perspective of space,and provides theoretical support and policy suggestions for the formulation of coordinated economic development policies and narrowing the urban economic differences.On the basis of predecessors' research,this paper analyzes the form of spatial interaction of county economy in Wuhan Metropolitan Area by means of economic theory and analysis such as regional economics,space economics,economic geography,and econometrics.First,we use the descriptive statistical method to classify the spatial distribution of GDP per capita,fixed assets,tertiary industry and human capital in Wuhan Metropolitan Area.It is found that the above-mentioned elements in this Area from 2004 to 2014 has been shown to be the highest in Wuhan city,Ezhou city and Huangshi city are the second,and other cities perform under average.The economy in Wuhan Metropolitan Area is in a serious state of polarization.Secondly,the spatial correlation degree of the urban circle is measured by the measuring method.The global and local Moran's I indices are used to reveal the economic spatial relationship among the cities.The global Moran's I shows that there is a very significant spatial auto-correlation,and local spatial auto-correlation explains that the impact of the cities in the city circle on the surrounding cities has its own characteristics.The negative spillover effect of Wuhan City on its surrounding cities is greater than that of the positive spillover effect.Ezhou City and Huangshi City have positive spillover effect on the surrounding cities.Tianmen city is not only the low level of development,but also has negative impact on the near cities.Other cities' leading role of the surrounding cities is not obvious.In addition,thefactors influencing the spatial correlation of Wuhan urban circle are analyzed by the bivariate spatial correlation model.It is found that the elements such as material capital,human capital and industrial structure have some influence on the spatial correlation of each city.Finally,with the support of relevant conclusions,the author puts forward some suggestions on how to improve the economic development of Wuhan Metropolitan Area.
