Analysis Of The Development Strategy Of Ganzhou Rare Earth Industry

Rare earth is an important strategic resource,and has been widely used in high-tech and defense industry.China,one country with rich reserves of rare earth resource,after years of efforts has become the world's largest rare earth producer,user and exporter.Ganzhou of it is the most important producing area of China's southern ionic rare earth and the breeding area of southern ionic rare earth mining method.Thus,it takes the lead in the development and utilization of southern ionic rare earth resource in the country.However,excessive mining,lack of funds and monitoring had long exited in ganzhou's rare earth industry.That had held back Ganzhou from capitalizing upon its ionic rare earth resource advantage.But in recent years,since regulation in rare earth industry has been improved significantly,ganzhou rare earth industry has witnessed a steady flourishing,and some of its products have reached the international top level.This paper mainly introduced the current development situation of rare earth industry at home and abroad,as well as the development of ganzhou rare earth industry.It has also analyzed the external environment and capacity for Ganzhou's rare earth industry development by SWOT analysis.Then it proposed some opinions and suggestions for strategies of Ganzhou's rare earth industry development.Ganzhou rare earth industry should strive to maximize the play of its ionic rare earth resource advantage.Measures should be taken to improve industry regulation,increase policy support,encourage enterprises' joint restructuring and participation of state-owned shares and other forms,promote resource and industrial integration,improve industry concentration,and further development of deep processing of rare earth industry to establish a myriad of competitive rare earth enterprises with independent intellectual property rights,and technology innovation ability.The following are the specific development strategies:one is to set up Ganzhou Rare Earth Group on the basis of leading products and mineral resources to turn resource advantages into economic boom;the other one is to combine research with production and application,along with accelerate the construction of major industrial projects through technological innovation to achieve the leading role of heavy rare earth products worldwide,and accomplish the strategic development goals Ganzhou rare earth industry.
