Research On Maturity Of Innovation Ecosystem For Suzhou

Marked by Apple's great success and Silicon Valley's continuous leadership,the innovation paradigm has moved from an engineering and mechanical innovation system to an ecological and dynamic innovation ecosystem.In the era of knowledge economy,an innovative ecosystem is gradually becoming an important driving force for social and economic development,and has a far-reaching impact on the future pattern of the world.As an integral part of national innovation ecosystem,urban innovation ecosystem plays an irreplaceable role in urban,regional and industrial innovation.Based on the perspective of Suzhou,the paper selects the remaining 12 cities in Jiangsu Province and Shanghai,Shenzhen,and Hangzhou as comparative objects.On the basis of research on innovative ecosystems at home and abroad and theoretical analysis,an innovation ecosystem maturity evaluation system including 53 third-level indicators is established.Using entropy method,grey relational method,analytic hierarchy process,and principal component analysis method,the maturity of innovation ecosystems of 16 cities from the year of 2014 to 2016 is measured and ranked.However,the four methods' ranking results are different.In order to get a more robust and consistent ranking,this paper uses three combination evaluation methods including the average value method,Copeland method and fuzzy Borda method to evaluate.After the ante test and the ex post test,the average value method is finally selected as the best evaluation method.The empirical results show that in the 16 cities,Suzhou's ranking of innovation ecosystem maturity has risen in 2014-2016 years and now is behind Shanghai and Shenzhen,and it shows obvious deficiencies in the innovation ecosystem mobility.Finally,the paper points out four major challenges of Suzhou in improving the maturity of its innovation ecosystem,and proposes the following suggestions: cultivate leading enterprises and build high-tech industrial clusters;increase corporate investment in science and technology,improve the efficiency of the use of fiscal funds;improve the talent cultivation system,and build innovative talents highland;spawn the development of the service industry,accelerate the pace of progressing to the high end of the industry chain;place equal emphasis on the construction of physical space and cultural space,optimize the innovation mobile network.
