A Study On The Strategies For Improving The Satisfaction Of Medical Tourists In Hainan

Medical Tourism,with the combination of health management and sight-seeing,is a new type of tourism activity in our country.Hainan province developed medical tourism relatively earlier.The major development forms and target groups include tourists from Russia and central Asia who are attracted by traditional Chinese medicine and top medical tourists who are interested by the best medical technology and the high-end heath care facilities.Benefit from the special tropical climate,good weather and rich tourism resources,according to the relevant data,there are about 1.1 million 'snow bird' in Hainan during the winter.However,there is no study of 'snow bird' as medical tourism.This thesis aims to propose strategies for improving the satisfaction of medical tourists in Hainan,by investigating and analyzing the satisfaction of the 'snow bird',with combining the domestic medical tourism development experience.It can provide reference for medical tourism administration bureau and tourism management industries.Firstly,the thesis determines that migratory bird can be studied as medical tourists by defining the 'snow bird' and medical tourism and observing the common points between them.Secondly,the conclusion that Hainan has the advantages of developing medical tourism is proposed through macro-environment analysis of Hainan,and also the problems are summarized.Thirdly,it comes to the investigation of the satisfaction of Hainan medical touurists.The conclusion includes that the high quality natural conditions in Hainan can relieve heart disease,hypertension and joint pain.The medical tourism product is seldom,the medical tourism quality is low and the transportation is inconvenient,which reduce the satisfaction of medical tourists.Fourthly,according the problems found in the investigation,some strategies are proposed with the reference of formation mechanism of tourist satisfaction and developing experiences in other places.The strategies include developing medical tourism products by promoting the integration of medical tourism and other related industries,speeding up the development of medical and health care and cultivating medical tourism professionals to raise the level of medical tourism,and developing public transport in both urban and rural areas to create convenient transport net.
