The Influence Of International Technology Spillover Channel On China's Technological Innovation

With the development of knowledge economy and the increasingly close economic globalization,and because of China's economy going into a new normal and getting on " world manufacturing factory" status,we urgently need to adjust the economic structure and change the mode of development,and in order to make the economic structure to the direction of technology,the state and the enterprise itself must improve independent innovation as the core and enhance competitiveness.At present,China is in the critical period of building an "innovative country",so it is an inevitable choice to improve the ability of independent innovation.Now in the domestic and foreign related research,in addition to the domestic technology investment,researches also think that international technology spillover channels have a role in improving the host country's technological innovation.Based on this,this paper attempts to conduct empirical research on a variety of channels to explore the impact of technological innovation in China.Based on Cobb Douglas production function and CH and LP measurement methods,this paper discusses the relationship between international technology spillover channels(ODI,FDI,import and export)and technological innovation in China by using the data of 30 provinces from 2003 year to 2013 year.In order to further distinguish the different types of countries,different spatial classification of technology spillovers on the impact of technological innovation in China,so the empirical study was carried out by country,space type.In order to verify the different influence of different channels on China's technological innovation,different types of verification analysis are carried out.In addition,in order to verify the role of various trade factors on technological innovation in different regions of China,it is verified by spatial factors.The results show that:(1)domestic r&d and human capital still play a leading role in promoting China's technological innovation compared with other four kinds of technological spillovers obtained through international r&d knowledge,regardless of the comparison of different types of countries or the test of spatial classification.(2)in the investment and trade between China and developed countries and developing countries,the international r&d knowledge acquired through ODI and FDI channels plays a significant role in China's technological innovation.however,according to Granger's test results,the acquisition of international r&d knowledge through FDI channels has the characteristics of short time lag and quick effect,while the acquisition of international r&d knowledge through ODI channels needs long-term accumulation to improve domestic innovation ability,so as to achieve the effect of promoting domestic innovation.(3)from the test results of different types of countries,China's import trade with developed countries,through the import channel to obtain international r&d knowledge to improve the domestic innovation ability,and import trade with developing countries,through the import channel to obtain international r&d knowledge to hinder the domestic innovation ability.At the same time,from the spatial classification test results,the eastern technology spillover through import channels to promote China's technological innovation,while the western technology spillover through import channels to hinder China's technological innovation.(4)the comparison of different types of countries,or the test of spatial classification,have verified that the technology spillovers obtained through export channels have no effect on China's technological innovation,at the same time shows that the result is robust.Through the analysis of the empirical results and conclusions and based on China's national conditions,this paper puts forward the following suggestions to help China's economic structure transformation and technological progress.Firstly,we continue to increase investment in r&d capital and r&d personnel;Secondly,we optimize the trade structure and improve international competitiveness.Third,through the improvement of foreign direct investment laws,we will establish a sound business and investment environment and strengthen the service construction system to promote foreign direct investment.
