The Influence Of Industrial Structure Change Of Hunan Province On The Income Gap Between Urban And Rural Areas

Since the reform and opening up,the economic of Hunan Province grow high,people's living standards continue to improve,urban and rural income levels are significantly improved.However,compared with the urban residents,the income level of rural residents is still very low.The ratio that the actual per disposable income of urban residents and the per capita net income of rural residents in Hunan Province increased from 1.79 times in 1983 to 3.15 times in 2007.Although it had been reduced later,the gap was still large.In 2015,The actual disposable income of urban residents was 2.71 times than the per capita net income of rural residents.Study on the method to reduce the income gap between urban and rural areas is imminent.The urban and rural industrial structure is an important factor affecting the income gap between urban and rural areas.This paper studies the impact of industrial structure on the urban-rural income gap from both theoretical analysis and empirical analysis.It is of great practical significance to put forward the constructive suggestions to narrow the urban-rural income gap from the perspective of industrial structure,which is of great significance to the economic development of Hunan Province and the whole country.First,this paper makes a theory by means of the theoretical analysis of the dual economic structure theory and the mechanism of industrial structure influencing the urban-rural income gap.Then,this paper analyzes the status quo of industrial structure and urban-rural income gap in Hunan Province.Based on the analysis of the internal mechanism of the influence of industrial structure on the income gap between urban and rural areas,based on the data of 84 counties(cities)of Hunan province to establish panel data model,using EGLS estimation,researching the influence of industrial structure change on the income gap between urban and rural areas.Empirical results show that the development of the first industry promotes the expansion of the income gap between urban and rural areas,on the other hand,the development of the second industry and the third industry can effectively reduce the income gap between urban and rural areas.And compared to the second industry,the development of the third industry can be more effective to narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas.From the perspective of industrial structure,the author puts forward constructive suggestions to narrow the income gap between urban and rural areas.The proposal includes speeding up the promotion and upgrading of the industry,strengthening the government's control and accelerating the development of the characteristic industry.
