Along with the China's rapid economic growth and increasingly higher international statusChina has become the favorite option of students around the world for studying abroad,the number of foreign students in china increasing years by years.as well as a lot of Indonesian students choosing China as a place to get study,and hope to have an opportunity to learn more about Chinese's culture,history,religion etc.Students not only learn Chinese's culture in the class,but also through travelling can deeply understand Chinese culture.Tourism and culture cannot be a part,it relates each other,culture is the soul of tourism's growth,and tourism is the support of cultural expand.As a large culturally rich country,China is abundant in cultural resourses,it is an important part of the Indonesian students to visit and experience China.Indonesian students is one of special group of tourist consumer,and they also have their own characteristic.differences in lifestyle,eating habits,values etc,which dictate people's behavior in an invisible way and are reflected in people's daily life,may lead to cultural shocks and conflicts in the travelling process,with the shocks sometimes even resulting in discomfort,contempt or antipathy.This research is using quantitative researh method.it's used to observe indonesian student's at Chongqing about tourist consumer behaviour,and discuss about tourist motivation,tourist consumer and also tourism options,this report analysis the behind reasons of their preferences.The report first explains the definition of cross culture,tourism behavior and tourism consumer behavior.Then,based on the analysis and investigation of the questionnaire,analysis the tourism consumer of the Indonesian students in Chongqing as a tourist sub group.In the final part,this report analyze the factors that affect these preference and characteristics in a cross-cultural perspective.Research results and findings are mainly embodied in three aspects: the tourist motivation of Indonesian students is mainly sightseeing and shopping,the ways of travelling is self-funded travel,and the level of consumer is mainly low until middle.
