Research And Improvement On Inventory Management Of Finished Products Of A Company

Inventory management is very important to the whole supply chain,includes raw material inventory management and finished products inventory management.Inventory management needs to balance the supply and demands.Good inventory management makes the goods produced and shipped out in time,which helps to satisfy the customers and enhance competitiveness of the company.High inventory especially high inventory of finished products makes inventory management tricky and has bad impacts on corporate capital recovery and the whole operation of enterprise,even weakens the competitiveness of company.So the inventory management of finished products is significant to the company.In this paper,the inventory management of finished products of A company is taken as the research object,analyzes the inventory management status of A company and finds that the inventory management of the company has restricted the normal operation of the warehouse.Therefore,how to improve the inventory management of finished products has become particularly important.Utilizes the theories such as standardized packaging,ABC classification management and lean production etc.,the suggestions for improving inventory management of A company are as follows: 1.Improve the arrangement of production time.The products completed date tends to be consistent in one order.2.Improve the standardized packaging database,and strengthen staff training.3.Change the packing step,the goods are packed when leave the production line,instead of the packing operation of the finished product in the warehouse.4.Eliminate the restriction of aircraft space or vessel departure date,seek for export from multiple ports even the charter service for air shipments.Shorten the inventory time of the finished products in the warehouse.The purpose of this study is to explore the effective methods for the management of products inventory of A company,it will make the whole supply chain of the A company operate more smoothly.I hope the research will be helpful for the production enterprises with similar situation.
