With the rapid development of Chinese economy, many foreign companies to invest in China,to drive the national economy, make China and the world closer together. China has become theworld’s largest production base, to the world to create a boundless wealth. At the same time, allkinds of enterprises are faced with the fast development and full competition in China,opportunities and challenges are coexist in markets. After the2008financial crisis, the financialturmoil make significant impact on manufacturing industry, the rapid changes in supply anddemand pattern, more and more enterprises realized that the market demand is constantly shrinking.So enterprises have to face the situation of compression cost, reduce internal friction, to adapt to thearrival of the era of thin margins.S company is a multinational enterprise, its product makes it have huge cost pressure toagainst the financial crisis. Therefore it must respond quickly, open source and reduce expenditure.As a precision producing company, the cost of raw material inventory proportion in the overalloperating cost is huge, the company must do all methods, development and research materialsinventory management method, compression of inventory at the same time, drive the wholecompany benign and healthy development.Based on several years raw material inventory management and existing problems analysis inS company, we using the ABC classification method, lean production, TOC, etc. managementmethods to solve problems. This paper expounds how raw material inventory management in Scompany, as well as the experience and lessons of raw material inventory management. And givesome reference for the similar enterprises in China for improve raw material inventorymanagement.
