Analysis On Tourism Industry Gathering And Economic Growth In Minority Areas In Sichuan Province

Tourism-Led Growth Hypothesis proposes that the rapid development of the tourism industry can increase income,create jobs,and guide investment inflows,which will have a positive impact on economic growth.This hypothesis has been verified by empirical analysis of many scholars.Based on the hypothesis that the tourism industry promotes the economic growth and industrial agglomeration theory,this article selects the tourism industry and economic growth of minority areas in Sichuan Province as the research object,and analyzes the relationship between tourism development and economic growth in the region.This paper chooses regional entropy index to measure the degree of tourism industry concentration in the minority areas of Sichuan Province.It is found that the tourism industry in the minority areas of Sichuan Province has a high concentration of tourism industry and has high competitiveness.The development has reached a high level.However,comparative analysis of the situation in non-ethnic minority areas can be observed in the highly agglomerated tourism industry.Although it has stimulated economic growth in ethnic minority areas in the past decade,it has not been able to help these areas narrow the differences in economic growth with non-ethnic minority areas.This article defines this phenomenon as a kind of “bias”,starting from the particularity of ethnic minority areas,analyzing the causes of this “bias”,and thus exploring the measures to promote economic growth in ethnic minority areas.Taking the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan Province as an example,the paper further analyzes this issue.The article is divided into seven parts.The first part is introduction,introduces the research background,methods and innovation of this paper;the second part briefly introduces the economic growth status and the current situation of tourism industry development in a few areas of Sichuan Province;the third part uses regional entropy index to measure the tourism industry in Sichuan minority areas.The degree of concentration finds that the tourism industry in the region is highly concentrated and highly competitive;in the fourth part,the relationship between tourism industry concentration and economic growth in ethnic minority areas and non-ethnic minority areas is comparatively analyzed,and the development of the tourism industry in ethnic minority areas is observed.There are certain deviations in economic growth.Starting from the factors of economic growth and the factors of the tourism industry,the causes of deviations are analyzed.In the fifth part,the Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture is taken as an example to further analyze the performance and causes of deviations;Reasons for the corresponding solutions;the seventh part is the conclusion of this paper.
