The Impact Of The Tieguanyin Price Fluctuation On Livelihoods Strategies Of Teaplanter In Anxi

Anxi County is located in the southeast of Fujian Province,the area of the local Tieguanyin Tea is over 50%.With the changes in market environment,Tieguanyin Tea cultivation,production,and sales are faced with high cost,high production risks and high market risk.In addition,tea growers have unclear of the market and blindly follow the trend of planting.As a result,prices of Anxi Tieguanyin Tea often fluctuate drastically.This not only affected the enthusiasm of tea farmers,seriously affected the lives of teaplanters,but also had a certain impact on the sustainability of the tea industry.Therefore,to research the impact of changes in Anxi Tieguanyin prices on the production and management of tea in order to better understand the characteristics of each link,to explore the livelihood strategies of tea farmers facing the impact of tea price fluctuations,and to explore the current rural The production potential,optimization of the tea industry structure,the promotion of rural economic development and the creation of a good external environment for the production and management of tea farmers are of great significance.This study uses the Census X 12 seasonal adjustment model of Eviews 7.2 and the average trend trend adjustment method to conduct seasonal decomposition of the Anxi Tieguanyin price index to study the trend changes.In combination with the trend change of the Anxi Tieguanyin price index,face-to-face and one-on-one methods were used to obtain data from questionnaire surveys conducted by farmers in Anxi Changkeng Township,Xiping Town,Huqiu Town,Jiandou Town,and comparative analysis was used.The ordinal regression focuses on the analysis of the changes in the livelihood capital of Anxi tea farmers and their livelihood strategies before and after the fluctuation of the Anxi Tieguanyin price index,and draws the following conclusions:First,the price fluctuation of Anxi Tieguanyin has led to a change in the strategy of the livelihood of tea farmers.The decline in the price of tea has led some tea farmers to shrink or even desert their tea gardens and chose to go out for non-agricultural work.Due to the lack of culture,technology or financial support,some tea growers are making transition difficult and risky,they only continue to expand the area of tea gardens to maintain their livelihood.Second,the price fluctuation of Anxi Tieguanyin has caused problems for the livelihood of some tea farmers.Due to the lack of understanding of tea price changes and the mastery of tea planting techniques,there's no tea brand to rely on,many tea farmers are unable to adapt to the declining prices of tea and the basic life of tea farmers is not guaranteed.Third,the fluctuation of Anxi Tieguanyin prices will show an upward trend in the future.According to the research,the price of Anxi Tieguanyin has picked up in 2016.Although the rate of price recovery is not large,the government and tea farmers should pay attention to this benign development trend in the future.Put forward countermeasures and suggestions on the conclusions of the research:1)Macro regulation and control of the price of tea;2)Accelerate the structural adjustment and land circulation to increase the natural capital of tea farmers;3)Promote the integration of the three industries and build a brand to depth discovery the physical capital of tea farmers;4)Improve credit support and rural cooperative finance to enrich the financial capital of tea farmers;5)Strengthen the level of cultural education and medical care to protect the human capital of tea farmers;6)Improve the management level and marketing model to expand tea farmers social capital.
