Empirical Research On The Effect Of FDI On Export Product Quality

China's export products have shown obvious comparative advantage in the international market since the reform and opening up,which led to a less need of the research on export product quality upgrading.However,the anti-dumping from other foreign countries and the increasing on the cost of domestic labor and raw material,China's export products can no longer rely on its price advantage.As a result,the scholars and researchers have to pay more attention to the research on China's export product quality upgrading.Be handicapped by the difficulty of measure of export products quality as well as the accession to the related data and many other restrictions,the research on China's export product quality upgrading are not as much as the others by now.In this context,this paper attempt to analyze the difference that FDI makes to the quality of export product,hoping to supplement related research.Firstly,this paper analyze the influential mechanism that FDI does on export product quality upgrading in the respect of classical theory.Then develop a scale system using the data from 2008 to 2015,which was made empirically.In the theoretical analysis part,the influential mechanism that FDI does on export product quality upgrading is divided into two parts,one of them is direct channel,and the other is indirect channel.In the part of empirical analysis,this paper measures the export product quality and the degree of trade liberalization,then put forward an entire regression analysis.Furthermore,the data is divided into different group by the degree of FDI permeation,the research and development and the tariff level,which could made the regression carried out separately.At last,the data is classified according to countries.The result shows.out that,by and large,the increase of FDI has a positive effect on the China's export product quality upgrading.In addition,this paper also proves that the results of this effect may be different in industries,countries,tariff level and the R&D efficiency.This paper discuss the impact of FDI increasing on China's export product quality upgrading from different aspects,and has important enlightenment and reference significance for export quality improvement and the cultivation of export firms'competitiveness.
