Since the beginning of this century,China's insurance industry has maintained a good momentum of development with an average annual growth rate of over 20%on a high base and has become one of the fastest growing industries in the national economy.By 2017,the national insurance premium income reached 365.8 billion yuan,a 22-fold increase over the 15.9 billion yuan in 2000.The rapid development of China's insurance industry, especially the life insurance industry,is inseparable from the promotion of personal agent systems.Since the introduction of this system by American AIA in the early 1990s,premium income from personal agent channels has become the main source of life insurance premium income. While the ranks of individual agents continue to grow, they also exposed various problems. In addition to misleading sales and lack of credibility, personal agents are particularly problematic in their internal polarization and high liquidity. Therefore,it is of great significance to conduct in-depth research on the career development of individual agents. However,at present, the research on individual agents at home and abroad mainly focuses on the agent system itself,or considers only the loss problem. There are very few articles considered from the perspective of professional development. On the basis of literature review, this article starts from a micro perspective and uses a life insurance company as an example to quantitatively analyze the influencing factors of individual agent career development from the perspective of human capital in order to improve the management of individual agents of life insurance and promote the productivity of individual agents. This article first summarizes the development of the insurance individual agent system, and then describes in detail the agent human resources management and development of Y Life Insurance Zhejiang Branch. The core chapter demonstrates the impact of human capital on career development by empirical study:the article defines the career development status of the agent from the perspective of salary and retention, takes FYC and 13 months preservation as dependent variables, uses demographic variables as control variables, extracts human capital factors according to agent characteristics, and establishes GLM model and binary logistic regression model to analyze on-the-job manpower on the December 31,2014 and new manpower on the December 2016.The empirical results show that the human capital factor has a significant impact on the career development of individual agents, among which academic qualifications, rank, length of service, training, regularization, and supervisory ranks play a significant role. Finally, based on the results of the previous study, relevant policy recommendations are proposed.
