Study On Urban Scale Distribution And Self-coordination In Northeast China

Since the reform and opening up,China's urbanization process has been accelerating,the number and scale of cities are growing,and the competition and cooperation between cities are closer,and the interaction between them is more obvious.City scale is the unity urban land scale,population scale and the economies scale,the urban scale distribution in region is directly related to function performance and competitiveness improvement of the city system.Northeast area was the important old industrial base in our country,the founding of new China's early days,Northeast area had played a strong supporting leading role for our country's economic,but with the market economy instead of planned economy,the urbanization process of the northeast began to lag behind the coastal developed cities,is still facing great difficulties and challenges.In view of this,this article takes 34 prefecture-level cities in northeast China as the research object,and takes 1990-2015 as the sample period,from the three aspects of urban population scale,land scale and economies scale,analyzes the changes of The scale of the 34 prefecture-level cities,at the same time,predicts the future trend of the characteristics indexes,and evaluates the self-coordination level in the urban development process.The main conclusions are as follows:(1)From the perspective of land use scale,population scale and economic scale,the first urban scale evolution in northeast China is characterized by different characteristics.The first city of land use scale alternated between Shenyang,Harbin and Changchun;As the first city in the population scale,Shenyang is relatively stable,but the first degree decreases;The economic scale of the first city of Shenyang and other cities widened obviously,the leading role appeared.(2)Since the 1990 s,the scale of urban scale in northeast China has been polarized,Big cities expand rapidly.Between cities,the gap of economic scale is widening,the land scale fractal dimension index is decline,medium-sized city developed well but speed is slow,and the increase of the population scale fractal dimension index is mainly due to many big cities on the absorption capacity decreased,narrowing the gap with the middle cities and there is a certain difference between the four central cities.(3)MARKOV chain analysis shows that scale of urban land types in northeast China in the next year of observation of the same state probability is higher,various types of cities to transfer between different types is given priority to the adjacent type;?and ?for population size of cities show strong unstable type,and ?type cities are difficult to develop for ?type cities;For economies scale,every type occurred to transfer to the down types,the economies scale in the northeast is in the overall stabilization condition,there are still part of the cities' economic development lags behind.(4)The results of R/S analysis show that the time series of the 2 cities index of land scale has no long-term memory.The 4 cities index will continue to decline,and will rise in six years.The 11 cities index will show a downward trend after maintaining a steady upward trend in a small area.There is a clear positive correlation between the changes of the fractal dimension index and will continue to decline.The 2 urban index series of population size has a non-periodic cycle,which decreases first and then rises.The 4 city index has the tendency to keep decreasing.The time series stability of city index and fractal dimension index is not good.The 2 cities index,4 cities index and 11 cities index of economies scale were aperiodic features,they will be decline after steady growth.(5)Urban land scale and the population scale,urban land scale and the economic scale,the number of high coordination type has increased,low and non-coordinated cities is overall reduction,indicates that the coordination relations of city in the northeast develops in the direction of optimization.From the perspective of the coordinated development of land scale and population scale and economic scale,it is found that stable medium and superior cities have a large proportion,the scale of the city is well-coordinated and well-developed,with no major deviation.However,the formation of stable and medium-sized cities is related to the development synchronization lag of land,population and economy.
