Study On The Regional Difference Of The Influence Of China's Industrial Structure Change On Economic Growth

For a long time,economic growth has always been the focus of the academic circles,and people gradually found that the industrial structure plays an important role in economic growth,therefore,more and more literatures explore the relationship between them from different perspectives and find that the change of industrial structure is one of the main factors of economic growth.The adjustment of industrial structure plays an important role in economic growth pattern and trajectory,especially in developing countries,the dual economic structure is the main feature of them,the reasonable change of industrial structure is the driving force of economic growth.Since reform and opening up,China has maintained high-speed economic growth,created the miracle of the history of human economic development,the changes of industrial structure were accompanished by the miracle,however,the economic growth gap between different parts of China has widened,and it has become a constraint on overall economic growth.In addition,another limitation that can not be ignored is the development of inter-regional differences among industries.Therefore,measuring the industrial structure,especially measuring the current situation and change of industrial structure,is crucial to narrow the regional development gap and promote the steady growth of the whole economy.In this article,we will measure the change of industrial structure from the two angles:the rationalization of industrial structure and the high-level of industrial structure,list the common methods of the two aspects and choose two methods as the final measurement from several measuring methods:the TL index and the H index.The two indexes are used to briefly analyze the economic growth in different regions of China.Using the provincial panel data from 1985 to 2014,constructs the economic model of industrial structure change and economic growth in different regions.The results show that: Firstly,the influence of industrial structure changes on economic growth has shown remarkable stage characteristics,which has reached the maximum in the last decade and has continued to increase.Secondly,in the analysis of the empirical results of the three regions,it is found that the industrial structure changes in the western region have the weakest impact on its economic growth,followed by the central region and the eastern region.Thirdly,the industrial structure of the three regions has less influence on economic growth than the rationalization of industrial structure,but the effect of industrial structure on economic growth is gradually strengthened.Therefore,in the economic and industrial structure policies,should fully consider the different parts of the development status and characteristics,adjust measures to local conditions,make different industrial policies,to reduce the gap between regional economic growth and achieve coordinated growth among regions.
