| China has been a traditional agricultural country since ancient times. The issue of "agriculture, countryside and farmers" has been a hot topic of concern to the government and academic circles in China for many years. The issue of increasing farmers' income is also an important livelihood issue that the government and society are concerned about.Human capital investment, one of the important factors affecting resident' income,Its role has been confirmed in past research.Since the 18 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China,as China's economy has entered a new normal, the economy has gradually entered a period of medium-to-highspeed growth, and the growth rate of peasant income has also slowed down.Under the new opportunities and challenges, how we can fully explore the potential of rural human capital and promote the growth of farmers' income will also be the focus of future government work.In this paper,on the basis of summarizing previous studies, combines the present situation of China's rural human capital investment, farmers' income and existing problems, makes an analysis of the mechanism of rural human capital investment in income, and uses metrological methods to study the effect of human capital investment in rural incomes.Using the provincial panel data from 1997 to 2015 in this paper, then adopts the statical panel regression model and the systematic GMM estimation dynamic panel regression model to study the effects of human capital investment increase in rural incomes on national and regional level. This paper divides rural human capital investment into education capital investment, health capital investment, and migration capital investment, combines with the control variables of regional economic development level, urbanization level, government fiscal expenditure, and the ratio of primary industry to GDP,studied the impact of these three aspects of investment in wages income and non-salary respectively. The following conclusions have been obtained: 1.From a national perspective,no matter what kind of regression model is used,China's rural per capita education capital investment, health capital investment, and migration capital investment have a significant role in promoting the growth of wage income and non-wage income of Chinese farmers. The degree of impact of the three types of human capital investment on income is descended from migration capital investment, health capital investment, and education capital investment.2.At the regional level, the three categories of human capital investment have basically positively promoted the income of farmers in the three regions of the East,Central and West. However, the impact on income of farmers in the central and western regions is higher than that in the eastern region. This shows that in recent years the government has focused on the central and western regions. The increase in investment in underdeveloped areas has also led to a corresponding increase in the growth of farmers' income.3.Among the control variables, the GDP per capita indicator representing the level of economic development has a positive effect on each region, and as the level of economic development increases, the income of farmers also increases more.In the dynamic panel regression model, the level of urbanization has a positive effect on wage income, while the effect on nonwage income is the opposite. |
