Research On The Transformation And Development Of Resource-based Area

In China,resource-based areas play a vital role on the way to industrialization and urbanization,which has brought Chinese economy to a new stage.However,most resources these regions relies on is limited and non-renewable,so the resource-based region economic development will inevitably be unsustainable,or even can go to a dead end.Resource industry includes not only the upstream of the mineral resources industry chain,such as ore mining,coal mining,oil extraction,etc.,but also the downstream industry chain,such as metallurgical casting,chemical industry,etc.Such areas spring up for resource development and usually go through from construction,prosperity,recession,transformation to extinction.Therefore,make preparation,transform current industries to a new way before the exhaustion of natural resources in resource-based areas is quite urgent in these areas.Taking F county as research subject,by literature analysis and interdisciplinary research,this paper explores the possible way of transformation according to related theories in economic transformation in resource-based areas.It is found in the analysis of economic development in this place: as a main pillar industry in this county--iron sourcing,since2014,with the deteriorating of relation between demand and supply,the profit of enterprise is shrinking,the enterprises can barely makes ends meet,more and more mines are shut down.Meanwhile,F country boasts remarkable advantages: e.g.rich natural resources,convenient transportation,etc which makes it better to develop travelling and modern agriculture.Therefore,the following measures and strategies are proposed: coordinate first,second and third industry,improve openness,better the developing environment and reinforce ecological civilization construction.The innovation point of this paper is to analyze the need for the F County to perform economic transformation,the achievement of economic transformation and the problems and how to realize the transformation.The author conducts analysisboth from the macro level in terms of national policy,national strategy and industry,and the micro-level in terms of F County.The general rule found out from this paper on resource-based regional economic transformation provide some useful reference for F county and other resource-based region in the economic transformation.
