The Impact Of Technical Barriers To Trade On The Export Of China 's Electronic Products

Nowadays with the economic globalization and trade liberalization,tariff barriers,import and export quotas and licensing system is becoming weaken.Meanwhile,technical barriers turn to be the most important trade barriers due to its unique characteristics,which is diversity,flexsibility and concealment.As the United States began to enter the Trump era,and in Trump launched under the trade protection policy,the United States and the world trade friction began to intensify.As the largest trade partner with the United States,China has thus received “special care” from Trump's trade protection policy.In March 2018,Trump announced that it imposed tariffs on Chinese imports of 60 billion U.S.dollars annually,making Sino-US trade war presents an increasingly fierce pattern.by the Trump trade protection policy,the United States set up technical trade barriers to China's exports,taking advantage of its powerful production technology and economy,which becoming an important factor affecting the order of Sino-US trade.Regarding electronic products,the main force of China's exports to the United States,the existence of US technical barriers to trade has seriously affected China's electronic products on the competitiveness of US export.Therefore,the in-depth research on US technical trade barriers encountered by China's electronic products exports is of great importance in both theoretical and practical.Through the construction of trade gravity model,this paper makes an empirical test on the impact of US technical trade barriers on the export of electronic products in China.It aims to put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions for how to deal with the technical barriers to trade in the United States under the trade protection policy of the United States under the Trump era.Based on the current academic research on technical barriers to trade,Firstly,this paper reviews the relevant literature of domestic and foreign scholars on the study oftechnical barriers to trade,followed by the definition and reasons of technical barriers to trade,as well as the summary of the United States technical trade barriers.In addition,based on the facts of Sino-US electronics trade,which facing many times of technical trade barriers,the paper has a detailed analysis of the effect by US technical barriers trade to China's exports of electronic products.Besides,trade gravity model is built to evaluate the influence of US technical trade barriers on China's electronic products export.Finally,combined with the actual situation of our country,measures are suggested to deal with technical barriers from three aspects as government,industry and enterprise.
