An Empirical Study On The Relationship Between Urbanization And Urban-rural Income Disparity In Inner Mongolia

The 19 th National Party Congress put forward a strategy for the development of urbanization in the new era and achieved the goal of narrowing the development gap between urban and rural areas.At present,the level of urbanization in Inner Mongolia is relatively high,but the development of regional urbanization is not balanced,and the urban-rural income gap is higher than the national average.Therefore,this paper establishes an econometric model to study the relationship between the development of urbanization in Inner Mongolia and the urban-rural income gap in order to provide some theoretical guidance for Inner Mongolia to improve urbanization and reduce the income gap.This article is based on the study of urbanization and urban-rural income gap theory and literature.First of all,the collation of related theories was carried out,and literature studies on urbanization,urban-rural income gap and the relationship between them were combed.Secondly,a systematic analysis of the urbanization development and the income gap between urban and rural areas in Inner Mongolia,Mengshi and Qixian was conducted,and the impact of urbanization and urban-rural income gap was summarized.In the final empirical analysis,the paper analyzed the dynamic relationship between urbanization and urban-rural income disparity at the temporal level using the time series data of Inner Mongolia from 1986 to 2016 through the VAR model,and analyzed the PVAR model from panel data of the Union City from 2000 to 2016.And establish a variable coefficient fixed effect model to further analyze the impact of urban-rural income gaps in urban areas.The results show that there is a stable relationship between urbanization in Inner Mongolia and the urban-rural income gap,both of which are Granger causality,and the effect of urban-rural income gap on urbanization is stronger;through the analysis of panel data of the coalition,It is found that the urban-rural income gap between the cities and towns in each league has regional heterogeneity,urban areas with low levels of urbanization,and urban-rural income gap play a role in promoting,and urban-rural income gaps have an impediment.Finally,according to the analysis conclusions,the policy recommendations are put forward,that is,correctly guide the urbanization construction;develop urbanization development strategies according to local conditions;and improve the employment opportunities of farmers and herdsmen after entering the city.
